When Paul saw Mike he couldn't help but feel incredibly ill as Mike's face was covered in dry blood and there was a great, big, gash along the left side, although you could barely see this, as most of his face was covered by a mask giving Mike some sort of gas. He was hooked up to a monitor kind of thing to, with a drip in his arm.

Paul slowly walked up to the to the bed and crouched down.

"Hey M-Mikey, it's Paul... I... I don't know if you can h-hear me but if you can, I love you so much." Paul spluttered. "Oh shit..." Paul said , finally letting himself cry.

Paul took Mikes hand and weeped quietly. "It's all gonna be a-alright Mikey, they doctors are really good here... d-dad says it'll b-be fine. The doctors d-don't think you'll m-make it but they don't know how much you fight, or h-how stubborn you are or how much you like to prove people wrong." Paul continued

"You're the best brother anyone could ask for, but I need to ask you one favour, I'll n-never ask for a-a-anything a-again, I promise, but p-please... keep on fighting, don't give up on me now. I'm gonna need you buddy."

Then Paul kneeled down and took Mike's hand and stayed in silence for a few moments before he heard a knock on the door.

"Paul, it's time." Said one of the nurses. Paul let go of his brothers hand, wiped his eyes with his back to the nurse, before turning around and walking towards the nurse.

"Goodbye, Mikey" Paul finally said before exiting the room, not daring to look back.

Once he was out the room he looked to his right to see a nurse in the door frame of the room his mother is in. A few seconds later his father steps out of the room.

"Are you alright, James?" Jim says seeing Paul's face. When Paul looked up at Jim he saw something he had never saw before, Jim was crying.

"I will be, what about you?" Paul said.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. Now quickly go see your mother before she goes?" He said, his voice cracking. Paul nodded as they both walked into the other rooms.

As soon as Paul saw his mother he started to panic. His face turned pail and he could feel sweat running down his back already. His bright his hand up to his mouth and said: "Holy shit..." under his breath feeling as if he couldn't even hold up his own weight.

(Authors note - so what do you think?

This chapter is a short and sad and kinda 'cliffhangery' but I'll have another one out soon (hopefully).

Should I keep writing or is it crap so far?

Please leave feedback, thank you.
