Harry's POV
We all scanned out and searched the area for Max's project. No sign of it anywhere. Max stayed keeping his audience at ease while. "Suit up?" I asked Pete. "You read my mind," he replied. I unzipped my bag ran to the nearest alley and put my armor on, gliding to search the area.
"Hobgoblin, Come in. Black Cat, to your right." I search down on the street to see Black Cat, with the device in hand. "Why her?" I groan. "Hey Cat!" I say as she turns to look at me who whips out my flame sword and let out a sonic screech. "Ugh, you pesty goblin," she says getting knocked off her feet.
Spidey swings in, shooting a web to the project that had just knocked out her hands. "Yoink!" he says clutching it. "Spiders, Goblins, what is this, Halloween?" she hisses. "No, that's tomorrow," Ghost-Spider adds, gliding in front of Cat
Webbing her hands together. "You're pretty quick Black Cat, But don't think you're that quick," Spider-Girl adds thwipping a mask to Black Cat's eyes right before they could glow. "Now that's Spidey sense," Spy-D adds."Way to go team." Spider-Man smiles, right before an actual Black Cat pounces into his arms, stealing the project. "What the" I question. "That rascal!" Spidey gasped. "Hired me a pet. Or maybe an apprentice." Black Cat snickered as the kitten scratched her out of the web, dropping the project from its mouth.
"That's a kitten and this is not what pets are meant for." I speculated. Just then the police showed up to take Black Cat, but Spy-D thwipped the kitten so it couldn't leave. "Boss, Web-Dust if you can," Spy-D asked. Spider-Man nodded and Web-Dusted the cat cautiously, only to find a hidden chip stuck on its collar. "Take the collar off, it's responding to shockwaves and vibrations every time Black Cat needs it to do something," Ghost-Spider told.
"That's cruel. Like, I know she sucks at theft, but dude. Hiring an animal? That's some wannabe Kraven stuff." Spider-Girl quipped. I grabbed the kitten from Spidey's arms once it had its collar off. It looked timid and was shaking. It then clicked that this was the same kitten I saw crawl under the fence of that construction site. "Pete, what do we do with it?" The cat looked up at me and started licking my wrist and rubbing its face on my chest.
"Hey, Har.." He took his mask off so I could see the smile on his face. Just then I knew what he was asking of me. He looked down at the kitten and then at me. "They seem to you." he smiled. The Spider Team was in awe at the way it cuddled me. "Pete?" I smiled as he took a picture. "You wanna foster them, Harry?" he smiled.
"Yes!" I exclaimed, accidentally waking the cat. "Oh, sorry." I looked down at it. "Okay, we can take it from here team. Peter handed the project to Miles. "Get this back to Max, tell him we had to go," he added.
"Go where?" I ask. "We have errands to run. Kitten shopping, and costume shopping." he smiled. "I thought you would've forgotten to go costume shopping with me." he chuckled. "Never," Pete assured me.
The cat jumped onto Pete's shoulder and started scratching at his spandex suit. "Hey- hey..." He said as I laughed. "I'm gonna like this kitty." I laughed. "The kitty's gonna like you too." He smiled.
