Harry's POV
The clock ticked in the distance as I finished writing my Oscorp letter. I wanted the legacy of my dad's works to go on, but I didn't want it to be circled me. I'm just a 16-year-old-going-on-17, I don't wanna be in charge of my dad's leftover corporation.
I was writing this letter to the Oscorp administrative...well the ones other than me, hoping they would understand my letter. No, I wasn't quitting. However, I was more so, taking a break from it. I didn't want it to be my full-time future.
The ink tapped off the paper, my hand shaking in shock. My phone's vibration caught me off guard when I got a notification from Peter.
'You think, you can come home early? Aunt May sent leftovers and I wanna talk. Plus, I like seeing you before night.'
"Oh boy," I groaned, putting my hand to my face. I got up, grabbed my bag, and left the office. When I got down to the main entrance of the building, I gave sealed the letter in an envelope and gave it to the front desk. "Make sure to put this in the administrative mail, I'm leaving for the day."
I told."Right away, Mr. Osborn." The desk lady nodded. I sighed leaving the building and hopping on my glider, heading home.
Peter's POV
There was a knock at the door and I came over to open it. "Har, You got the message." I chuckled. He kissed me on the cheek and entered the apartment. "Okay... What's wrong? What'd I do?" he asked in irony.
"Uh, well... I just wanted to talk." I sighed
"Alright, I'd like to talk too." he smiled.
We walked to the table together, and he sat down in unison with me. He must have seen me making expressions to myself and fidgeting with my fingers because he responded, "Hey, Bugs, you can tell me anything."I sigh. "I think we're...becoming distant," I confirm.
"..What?" he reacts with a perplexed smile. "I just...thats my honest opinion Harry."
"...Well, I'm not too sure about your honest opinion, then," he says taken aback.I huff, blowing hair out of my face while getting a bit angry and flustered. "Listen, you might think, partners under the same home can't be distant, but when you rarely talk or see each other more than one sight a day, it feels sad and like we're...falling apart?" I say. I see his eyes get bigger, and I nervously suck air through my teeth.
He exhales, "Okay, yeah no, I can't lie, you bring up a good point," he groans. "So what can we do?" I ask. "I dunno," he answers. "I thought, we'd get better at this. I felt like everything should have gotten better after
the villains died down. Then Maximum Venom happened, but we took control of that! And to top it off, I'm lucky to still be in that healthy relationship with the guy of my dreams.." I rant on about. He cracks a slight grin at the last thing I said but looks down."Are we in a healthy relationship though?" he asks. "What?" I ask. "Pete, like you, said we see each other way less than a couple should," he tells me. I agree. "Well, good thing I made Oscorp work halftime then!" he smiles.
"Wait what? Really?" I beamed. "Yeah! Figured I could do it in my spare time, and or fewer hours and days than usual. After all, you deserve to see more, and im happier here with you than there with my dad's shadow." Harry explained.
"Thanks so much, Harry, I'm glad you're so understanding and we can be on the same page." I hugged him. "Me too Pete, what do you say we have those leftovers May gave you now?" he said. I chuckled, "You read my mind."
