"We are absolute."

"We do not need pointless things like teamwork," Seijuro said. The team looked shocked. This was Seijuro Akashi, the popular, well-mannered, and smart student council president. How could he discard something so important?

.

Later after everyone left, Seijuro was standing in the gym alone. The door opened and Kuroko walked in.

"You're late," Seijuro said, his voice laced with venom. Kuroko said nothing, only walking forward.

"I'm assuming that you failed to bring Daiki back." He handed Tetsuya the towel he was holding. Tetsuya gulped. The aura that Seijuro had was different, crueler.

"Yes," Kuroko responded, still looking down at his feet. He didn't even bother to dry himself.

"Then there is nothing we can do. Aoimine is now a lost cause. Once a plate is cracked, it will never be the same; But as long as it's still useful, things are fine as they are."

Kuroko looked up, his face had a shocked expression. 'Who is this person I'm talking to?' He thought. This version of Akashi was unfamiliar to him.

"Akashi..?" Kuroko said as if he didn't recognize the boy that was standing in front of him. He was afraid.

Kuroko's body started shaking, and he clutched his fists. "What are you talking about... No.. who am I talking to? I don't recognize you."

Seijuro grinned, lifting his hand and putting it on his chest. "Isn't it obvious? I'm Seijuro Akashi, of course, Tetsuya."

.

Kuroko opened the door to the gym. He stepped outside, noticing Yamiku standing there with her umbrella. He paused, still shaken from his interaction with Seijuro. "Yami-chan.."

"Tetsuya. Did you talk with Seijuro?" She asked in a calm tone. Tetsu flinched. He realized that she had changed too. The old spark in her eyes just wasn't there anymore.

"Yes." He replied.

"Tetsuya, I'm going to be frank. We don't need you anymore." Yamiku said bluntly. Tetsuya looked shocked. "Something as foolish as teamwork will not suffice anymore. It will only hold the team back. The only thing you can do is pass. I cannot make you quit the team, but I would advise it. You would just fall behind the rest of us.

"Yami-San... What happened to you?" He asked, his voice shaky. He couldn't hold it in anymore. Tears began streaming down his face.

Yamiku ignored him, walking away with her umbrella.

.

Ever since the switch, Yamiku had become an assistant captain of the Teiko Middle School Basketball Club, although she was only the vice-captain, she was just as intimidating and cunning as her brother. With the Akashi twins leading the team, Teiko was unstoppable. They were entering the finals, and they just found out who their opponents were going to be.

"Oh hey, we're playing Meiko in the finals," Kise mentioned. The usual playfulness in his voice was dull by now.

"So what? It's the same no matter who we play." Murisakibara shrugged his shoulders. Kuroko looked like he was deep in thought.

"Do not underestimate them. If they made it this far, they must be good." Yamiku said. She looked at Momoi who was holding a bunch of papers. They seemed to be data on Meiko. Yamiku snapped her fingers as if she were giving the girl an order.
