jayden hadn't heard from jules since she dropped her off yesterday. she knew that she was going through a hard time so she decided to make her a little basket full of her favorite things.

"hayley... soo i've been thinking.. maybe i should contact your father" "you mean OUR father" "haha no. that man is not my dad." "uh huh but why do you want to talk to him?" "i feel like he can talk some sense into caleb or at least get him the help he deserves" "i can talk to him this weekend" when their mom was first diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, their dad couldn't take it anymore. their marriage began to hit the rocks, everyone can see it. but what hurt the most is that when he left, he hadn't checked on his kids for 6 months. then he tried to pop back in like nothing happened. hayley was the only one who agreed to hang out with him every other weekend. caleb and jules stayed with their dying mother. when she died... their dad tried to take them in. but caleb and jules refused. they refused to live with someone who put their children second to everything else in their life. as jules began to reminisce on the psst she heard a knock on the door. "are you expecting anyone?" "no" "SURPRISE GUMDROP!" "omg you're still doing these nicknames jay" "very much pudding cup" "you're so cute! and THANK YOU SO MUCH!" jules says pulling her into a hug "can we kiss in front of hayley?" jayden whispers in jules ear "not yet my love" "okay... HAYLEY don't worry i got something for you too!......BOOM" jayden pulls out two tickets to the post malone concert happening in august "WOAH NO WAY! JAYDEN YOU ARE THE BEST!" "yea i know 😮💨" "um jay how much were those?" "jules it doesn't matter" "yes, it does" "no, it doesn't. i'm literally just buying concert tickets" "but they were probably expensive" "um im gonna go to the store" hayley says backing away awkwardly "yea sure whatever... jayden, how much were the tickets" "jules.. the ticket price doesn't matter.. they weren't even really for her" "what do you mean?" "i originally bought them for us.... but when i thought about it... hayley deserves them. plus i'm pretty sure you would much rather be sitting on the couch cuddling and watching movies" "i mean you're not wrong but sometimes i feel like you pity me" "pity you?" "HEY ANNIE WHERE IS HE?" the mysterious man yells while coming through the door "WE ARE IN THE LIVING ROOM BILLY" then jayden stopped. that was billy leblanc. that was jules' father.
