Dracula's Daughter

Chapter 13

After the attack on Castle Dracula. We retreated to our "back up" kingdom. Along the way we stopped to camp for the night. I was relaxing in my tent when mum walked in. "Elise, your father and I would like to speak to you." She said. "Am I in trouble?" I ask. "No. Of course not." She said then left. I stood up and straightened my skirt, then fixed my hair. I exited my ten and walked to mum and dads. "Mum, dad?" I ask. "Come in." Mum calls. I enter the tent and mum and dad look up at me. "You wished to see me?" I ask. "Elise, come sit with us." Dad said. I sat down and mum and dad shared a glance. "Elise, we want you to stop speaking with Christine." Dad said. "What?" I asked my heart breaking. "Elise, listen to us." Mum spoke. "No!" I snap at her, standing up. "Elise it's for the best." Dad says. "For you or for me?!?" I shout in anger. "For our people!" He shouts back. "No! You always taught us that we never turn our back on friends! Yet that is exactly what you are asking me to do!" I shout. "She is the princess of the turks! The turks are threatening our people with war!" Mother shouted. "How can you blame that on her!? That would be like Mehmed blaming me for the wrongs our people have done!" I shout at her. "Enough! Elise you are to stop talking to Christine immediately!" Dad shouted. "No! I won't stop! You can not make me!" I scream. I run our of the tent and over to Topaz, I mount up and race off. I urged Topaz to gallop, tears flowing down my face like a river. I hear the distant sound of hooves behind me like thunder. I turn to see 15 of my fathers men chasinf after me. I urged Topaz to go faster and she happily complied. She raced through the trees faster than she ever had before. The sound of the horses behind me faded away. I urged Topaz into a slow stop. I did not recognize the part of the forest I was in. I dismounted off Topaz and when to see if I could figure out where I was. After a few moments I walked back to Topaz. I was about to mount up when two arms grabb me. One hand cover my mouth the other held me in place. "Çiglik, ve ölür." (Scream, and you die.) He said. I fought as hard as I could but something hit me over the head and knocked me unconscious.

(Vlad's P.O.V)

I was waiting for my soldiers to come back bringing Elise with them, I paced my tent when the sound of horses came through. I walked out to see the soldiers. "Where is my daughter?" I ask. "Vlad, she crossed into Turkish land. We could not follow her any more." Roseous said. I signed and ran my hand through my hair. What was she thinking. I turn to ho mind Mirena ams tell her what happened

~later that day~

I race to the top of the tower to try and save Mirena. As I got there she lost her grip. I launched my self off the side using the last bit of my powers to try and reach her. I exstend my arm out to her, I grabbed her hand but I was to late. We both crash into the ground. I pull her into my arms resting her head on my lap. "Vlad, you still have time to save Elise, go and get her." She said. "No, I don't have enough time. I will lose the powers before I reach her." I said to her. "Vlad you told me you needed human blood. Take mine and go save our daughter." She says hoarsly. "No. I won't do it Mirena." I said. "Death can not seperate us, one life is born from the other." She said. Tears fall down my cheeks as I feel my fangs grow out. I sink my teeth into my loves neck. I pull away from her and scream. I lay her down to rest comfortably. I grab my armor and race to save my daughter from Mehmed.

(Elise's P.O.V again)

I sat on the floor with my hands bound by rope the was attctched the the wall. "Lütfen, izin ver gitmek." (Please, let me go.) I beg Mehmed. "Sessiz! Sent yem vardir. Senin baba irade gel senin kurtarma ve ne zaman o yapiyor, ben keserim onun bogaz." (Quiet! You are the bait. Your father will come to your rescue l and when he does, I'll slit his throat.) He answered. Just then Christine walked in. "Brother I- Elise!" She screamed runnimg to my side. "Mehmed what are you doing!? Release her at once!" She yelled at her older brother. "Hayir, o burada kalir." (No, she stays here.) He said "Mehmed bu delilik." (Mehmed, this is madness.) She spoke. "Christine, o araç öldürmek babam." (Christine, he means to kill my father." I tell her in fright. "He won't, not with me standing in the way." She spoke softly. I smiled gratefuy at her, but fearing she would get hurt. I looked out the door and dry lighting cracked across the sky in the distance. "Is there a storm coming my lord?" A soldier asked Mehmed. "No, the prince is coming." He answered. Daddy's, coming.
I sat on the floor with my hands still bound. Mehmed had surrounded me with Silver coins and had sunlight shining around me. I did not understand why but I did not question him. I heard the sound of grass crunching underneath boots, and in stepped my father. "Elise?" He asked. "Daddy, go back its a trap. Go back!" I said. Mehmed stepped out from the shadows. "Quiet Brat!" He snapped. He walked up to dad and spoke. "Go ahead impaler, she's waiting for you." He spoke. Dad moved towards me but Mehmed took a swing with his sword. Dad and Mehmed fought unil dad fell into the silver coins. I watched with Christine as the silver burned his skin. "Daddy!" I cried. He pushed himself up and fought Mehmed once again. Christine and I watched in horror as dad grew fangs and sunk them into Mehmed's throat. As soon as Mehmed's body hit the ground, Christine freed me from my bonds. I raced over to my father and hugged him. The three of us exited the tent. "What happens now daddy?" I ask. "Now we need to get rid of all the Vampires. Including my self." He said. "No! Daddy. Please don't go. Please!" I begged hugging his stomach. He pulled me aside and hugged me tight. "I don't want you to die daddy." I said. He sighed. "I want to stay with you." I said quietly. He looked down at me and realization flashed across his eyes. "Are you sure about this?"he asked. I nodded. I watched as he bit into his wrist and let blood flow. "Open your mouth." He said. I did as I was told and opened my mouth. He let his blood dril into mg mouth and run down my throat. Soon darkness covered me.
I awoke feeling rather dizzy. I slowly stood up and exited the tent I was in. I walked over to my father who was talking to a few men. I hugged him and he looked down at me. "Hey angel, how do you feel?" He asked. "Dizzy." I said. "That's to be expected." Dad chuckled. Soon Christine comes our of her tent. I embrace her in a hug. "We must be going." I tell her. She lulls me back into a hug. "I'm going to miss you my sister." She said crying. I soon too began crying. "I'm going to miss you too Christine. But remember someday in another life, we will meet again. I primjs you our paths will cross once again. Maybe in a few years, maybe in a few hundred years. We will never know." I say hiccuping at the end. "Be safe sister." She said. "Never." I choke. She let's me go and I take my fathers hand. "Until we meet again. My sister." I say. "Until we meet again." She repeated. Then we ran off. I ran to Natalia's home. I knocked on the door. And her older sister answered. "Natalia! Elise is here!" She yelled. Natalia came and exited the house. "Hola Amiga. Is something wrong?" She asked. "I'm leaving Natalia." I say crying. "What? Leaving? Why?" She asked tears welling up in her eyes. "Its a long story. I wanted to say good bye before I left." I said. Hugging her. "I will miss you Amiga." She spoke. "I will miss you Natalia." I say. "As I told Christine. One day in another life we will meet again. I promise." I told her. She hugged me once again crying. "Until we meet again my sister." I say. "Until we meet again." She spoke. "I'll see you again. Soon." I say. She nodds. I turn away and so does she. I walk about 100,feet and turn to see her close the door.
I had said goodbye to my siblings and me and dad fled from Transylvania, now we start our new lives.
