Lily sat outside the next day reading Katrina's journal. She had decided it might be best not to try practicing using her powers in the house since the first time she did, the microwave exploded. She smiled to herself remembering how she had sat at her kitchen table and practiced making a fork levitate. Suddenly, she sneezed and the microwave started beeping. Ichabod stood up in front of her as they slowly backed away from the microwave. They stood behind the bar and ducked when they saw the microwave explode, Ichabod shielding Lily on the floor. They both slowly glanced over the bar and saw the microwave basically had melted.

Lily had gotten to the point where she was able to levitate small items in addition to the nature spells. She found some things were stronger to control based of her feelings. Like throwing Andrew when she was upset. Her emotional state seemed to have an effect on her powers. And this was confirmed the more she read the journal. Katrina had entries about her powers fully arriving but didn't mention what specifically caused it. The more Lily read, the more she realized the journal wasn't a personal journal, but rather an instruction manual for the female defendant to learn about the Sisterhood. She looked up as she saw Ichabod came outside with . They hadn't really spoken much to each much since the kiss, Lily felt like Ichabod was too much of a gentleman to discuss it.

Ichabod: Miss Lillian, I prepared some tea. (He handed her a cup and she smiled) Any luck with the journal?

Lily (shaking her head as she closed the journal): Not really. I just have to wait for whatever will trigger me to come into my powers. The really reads like a stereo manual. (Ichabod looked at her, confused) Never mind. Thank you for the tea.

Ichabod: May i speak freely, Miss Lillian?

Lily: Of course.

Ichabod: I wanted to, again, extend my apologies for yesterday. I should not have kissed you that way.

Lily (blushes): You don't have to apologize. But why DID you kiss me like that?

Ichabod: Ever since I arrived in this time, my mind has been in utter chaos. And when I saw you in the hospital, it was the first time I had a clear thought. And when you are close to me, everything becomes clearer. It is an inner struggle I fight to be able to touch you. These are not proper feelings to have.

Lily: When I went into the room in the hospital, there was this fire in my stomach. Like, I needed to rescue you. And once we got you out of the hospital, everything was alright. My granny thinks this was our destiny. To meet like this.

Ichabod: And what do you think?

Lily (frowns looking down at the journal): I think... this is an illusion created by a spell to make us think there is more to us being drawn together.

Ichabod (shaking his head): No! Katrina swore to me she would never cast a spell on my feelings. When I touch you, it's like my heart is complete. This cannot be Katrina's doing!

Lily (standing up and shrugging as she walks away from the table): Why would she cast a spell that would take you away from her? (Ichabod quickly walks up and stops her, putting his hand on her arm and turning her to him)

Ichabod (he pulls her closer to him placing his hand at the small of her back, looking into her eyes): Why would she cast a spell to make us ache to be closer to each other?

Lily (shaking her head): I don't know. All I can tell is what Granny told me and what Katrina wrote. You were shot and you died. Katrina made a spell that her descendant would be able to reunite the two of you. (She gently pushes him away) Please, don't look at me like that. (She sits on the step into the house covering her face)

Ichabod: Like what?

Lily: Like you WANT to be here. This isn't where you belong. You belong to another time and to someone else. Look, being apart from you already hurts enough, you looking at me like that is only going to make it harder for me to fix this and let you go!
