There are times where someone's presence makes one feel very on edge. Most accurance of that feeling would be alone in the darkness of the streets.

Some do not understand the danger lurking in dark alleyways. Which might explain the behavior of one girl. She, specifically her, does not know what the word danger meant.

She grew up in a home that does not explain the means of that word.

Or in general, never spoke of what the difference of danger or safety meant.

This girl, was an escapee orphan.

Even though the she escaped the orphanage, she had lived quietly so far. Especially living out in the woods.

Of course, she was being hunted by wild animals outside, but she always manages to escape her fate.

That one said, why would she live in the woods out of all of the options she had?

First of all, she managed to escape the orphanage. Meaning there might be people trying to bring her back. Which she doesn't want to happen.

But sometimes, the forest scares her to the spine. The feeling she has is so uncanny, that she couldn't find the source of the problem.

At some point she began giving up of that uncanny feeling that was still bothering her. But another side of her wanted to know what it was.

Many months turned into years and years turned into millennium.

The uncanny feeling had disappeared a long while ago.

And if she were honest, she had missed that feeling since it first disappeared.

It made her feel come out more often and confidently to the point she began to explore the outside world and one day reaching a city named Megapolis.

She ran and looked around excitedly about the new generation's technology. It managed to caught some people's attention because of her curiosity.

Though, every bright side has it's dark, right?

. . .

She began to settle to a new place near a popular noodle shop and got to know new people.

Though she didn't see them much nowadays, she began to walk around town more, until reaching an alleyway. Leading to somewhere mysterious.

The alleyway slowly came to it's end. As she came closer to the wall, a conversation began on the other side of it. Eavesdropping doesn't seem like a good thing to do but she was curious.

She sat down on the floor and kept on listening to the one voice, trying to to figure out about what it was.

The time soon passes and she thought of maybe coming by again in case the person on the otherside of the wall was going to be there.

As she distance herself from the wall by every step, she couldn't help but notice a change in her 'feeling'.

It's like what happened once. When that uncanny feeling left her.

It's been month's since she last heard that voice. Even though it was unfamiliar, at that time, she felt so comfortable to be hearing his soothing-deep voice.

She loved it.

At some point, the kid and his friends from the noodle shop haven't returned in those times she has been waiting.

She thought something might had happened to them.

And every time she came by the shop, she prayed for them to come back home soon.

Today was a different case.

When she came by the noodle shop, she noticed a man in a suit standing right in front of it.

The girl couldn't help but jump to the side and hide from the stranger. Though the feeling she had, had returned.

She was scared, but the feeling is so natural to her, that she began to think of it as her old friend. She actually missed it.

"Eavesdropping dropping on me doesn't do you no good, dear."

The voice said.

That's when she realized, that she had heard that soothing-deep voice before.

"What. . ?"

She whispered.

"How did he know. . ?"

Before she could take a sneak peek from the wall, she bumped her head in someone standing next to her.

She looked up and saw the man who was standing in front of the noddle shop, suddenly standing in front of her.

"I know quite a lot of things, dear."

He began as he smiled at her menacingly.

"Though, I don't think I recognize you."

He spoke once again. This time forming a confused look on his face.

His hand reaches out for her hair and began to wonder to himself.

"Such beautiful hair. . .I feel like I recognize you from somewhere. I can't quite pin it."

As the feeling returned to her a while ago, she realized that she had maybe found the source of thag feeling.

The man standing in front of her, was that uncanny feeling.

His aura.

His voice.

His eyes.

He couldn't be. . .

"Chief. . ?"

He stopped fidgeting with her hair. But his expression remained as they were.

"You're an immortal being."

He stated and looked at her.

"It's been quite a while, Y/n L/n."
