"I'm worried," Davin said.
"We all do. But we need to trust Adi," Carson said.
Davin sighed and fidgeted. They are all wondering what's happening to their friend.
Back at the lab, Adriel is being prepared for the first trial. They injected him with a very minimal dosage. It did nothing to him. The Director ordered double the dosage and they got the same result.
"This is outrageous. He's not a mere human to not show any effects," he exclaimed.
'It's because he's more powerful than this serum,' Tobias thought.
"I think it's enou-
"Full dose," the director said.
Tobias and the other doctors widened their eyes. The full dose that he was talking about is the last serum that will be injected into the subject after the successful first three.
"That's dangerous! This is his first session!" Tobias exclaimed.
But the director is stubborn. He said why not see if it actually works since they have a willing subject.
"Are you nuts?! He's the favored one of the Queen! What will happen to us if he dies?" he argued.
"No one will know. Now, follow my order!" the director yelled.
The doctors couldn't do anything but obey.
"W-What's going on?" Adriel asked confused.
"What's that?" he asked when a doctor holds his arm to inject another serum.
He can't move as his arms are restricted. He starts thrashing to free himself though he can if he shows his powers. Tobias is also stopping the doctor but the director pulled him away using his power.
"Prof!" Adi exclaimed.
The doctor was about to inject him with the serum but Adriel's body starts convulsing.
"Fuck!" Tobias cursed while the doctor and the directors were shocked.
"Do something!" Tobias yelled.
That brought the others to reality. The doctors frantically look for something to calm Adi's body while the director flees.
Then the time suddenly stopped. That time, Adriel was like pulled away from his body by some force, a person rather.
"What are they doing to your body?" a man asked Adriel. No one can see them.
Adriel is not answering and just observing the man. The man has these beautiful eyes. A swirling purplish-like galaxy. The face is blurry only the eyes are visible.
"Hmm, not gonna say anything? Guess I need to find out myself," the man murmured and look through Adriel's mind.
"Interesting," he uttered. "So, you're Adriel the Aotrom's hidden prince, huh," he added.
Adriel got scared that this man learned his secret.
"Who are you? How did you get here?" he asked.
The man smiled, "I'm not sure how, but I felt your desperate call for help. So, I think it's safe to say that you pulled me here," he answered.
Adriel frowns, "I did?"
The man shrugged and look around. Seeing the serum, he walks toward it and checks it. He then glances at everyone around.
"They are tampering with what the deities created," he said.
"And you volunteer to be their guinea pig?" he asked Adriel.
"I have a reason," Adi answered.
Nodding, "I know. But, be careful. You don't know who's your dealing with,"
"Do you know who?" Adriel asked.
"Hmm, I can easily find that out, but where's the thrill in that?" he smirked.
Adriel rolled his eyes. "Huy~ how dare you rolled your eyes at me? How old are you?"
Adi was taken aback at the sudden change in the stranger's behavior.
"I'm 18," Adi said.
"Ha! Same age. Hmp, I guess you can roll your eyes at me. Anyway, you need to go back. That man is worried as fuck- Ooh, it's nice to curse sometimes. No one will reprimand me here," he giggled making Adi shake his head.
"You're leaving?" Adi asked.
"Mn. My mate and friends are probably freaking out. We're in the middle of training," the man answered.
"Oh, but, from what kingdom you are?" Adi asked.
"It's better to say that I'm from a different realm," he answered and Adi nodded.
"Uhm, can we meet again?" he asked.
"I guess so. Let's just see what will happen next. Just be careful and stay away from these uglies. Also, there's no reason to be afraid. Your mate is with you. You are stronger together. Bye~" the man said.
"Wait! Uhm, can you tell me your name?" Adi asked.
"Kieran,"
After Kieran said his name, everything went back to normal and Adriel's body stopped shaking badly and he regained consciousness.
Tobias decided to get him away. They are on their way when Tobias pullover.
"Are you okay?" Adriel asked.
Tobias looked at him in disbelief. "I should be the one asking that,"
Adriel just smiled sheepishly. Tobias sighed, "I'm glad that you're okay,"
Tobias dropped him at his house and upon entering, he was welcomed by his friends.
"Where's Davin?" he asked when he didn't see his fated one.
The boys glanced at each other. "What happened?" he asked worriedly.
"We don't know. His body started thrashing like he was in pain and he lost consciousness," Noa answered him.
Adriel rushes to their room and his heart breaks seeing Davin, unconscious but whimpering.
Looking at them, "I'll take it from here and when he wakes up, we all need to talk," he said making them a nod and left their room.
Sighing, Adi sits beside his man and gently caresses Davin's head. His eyes flash white and ease the pain that Davin is feeling.
He changed into a lying position beside Davin and leans forward and pecks the latter's lips. He remembered the last word that Kieran told him.
"Let's stop hiding, love,"
Is this the time to face the enemies, head-on?
Thanks and sorry for the errors.
