"Let's stop hiding, love?"

"A-Adriel?" Davin asked disoriented.

"Yes, love, it's me. I'm here," Adi said swatting away Davin's bangs.

Davin sat up abruptly and hugs his mate.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm okay," Adi said rubbing his back.

"I... I felt it..." Davin stuttered.

Adriel tried to move away a little but Davin tightens his hold.

"It's okay, love," Adriel is calming him.

Davin shakes his head, "No, it felt so real a-and... a-and-

"Shh, it was real, yes," Adi said making Davin whimper.

"But look..." Adi pulled away and cupped his mate's face, "I'm fine, and here in your arms now. That's what matters,"

Davin kissed him and Adriel can still feel him trembling.

"Don't... Don't do it again. Don't go back there. Please, love, promise me you'll not go there again," he begged.

Adriel nodded and hugs him again, "I promise, I won't,"

Kissing the side of Davin's head, Adriel puts him to sleep and calms his mind. Looking at the door, their friends are looking worried. He gave them an assuring smile.

"I need to talk to you guys," he told them.

They left the room and shifted to their living room.

"What happened there, A?" Carson asked.

Sighing deeply, Adriel relates what happened to him. He also mentioned his special encounter with Kieran.

"You really think it's him?" Kai asked.

"I think so. I mean, he's from another realm and I can feel his power," Adriel answered.

"Yeah, but his name is different from what we read," Carson shared.

As the three are talking, Noa and Ryder are just looking and listening to them in confusion. They don't understand what or who they are talking about.

"Wait, can anyone explain further?" Ryder breaks in.

"Yeah. You three sounded like you knew this guy-

"Kieran," the three uttered cutting Noa.

Noa rolled his eyes, "Fine. Kieran. So, you three know him?"

The three glanced at each other, smiling.

"Kind of. We've been reading about them, the Voogd," Kai answered.

"Voogd? You mean guardian?" Ryder asked and they nodded.

"Let me explain. So, guardians are gifts from the deities. They help in protecting the weak, keeping them safe, and maintaining the balance between all races so we all can live in harmony," Kai the bookworm answered.

"And they are from a different realm?" Ryder asked his mate.

"Yes," Kai answered.

"How can they protect all if they are in another world?" Noa asked.

"Well, based on what we read, they can travel from verse to verse," Adriel said.

"Awesome, right?" Carson smirked.

"Hm, but, based on what happened to you Adi, this Kieran was just pulled in because of you. So, are you sure he's one of them?" Noa uttered.
