Month six,
Day two, five eighteen PM(Yuichiro's POV)
Yuichiro was sitting at the table of his old home, drawing a picture of Mikaela, something he found himself doing a lot lately. He didn't traditionally like drawing, but now he had hours to waste every day, and it was growing on him. The table, old and dusty, which belonged to the house he lived in from ages six to twelve with his family, wasn't the smoothest surface. So it wasn't that easy to draw on. But just to be in this place, was worth it. The first time he came here as a sixteen-year-old he couldn't handle the emotions that came with reuniting with it, but the more he returned, the more attached became and the more time he spent there. Of course, Mikaela I would never let him come here by himself, but that didn't matter because he would rather have his company there anyway. Speaking of which, Mikaela was currently staring him down with a smile and watching carefully as the human drew. His presence was always pleasant, everyday Yuichiro loved the vampire more and more. He was beginning to forget about his Squad, though he never actually got an explanation on how they were using him, it just didn't seem to matter anymore. They are dead, so he would have to choose between them and Mikaela anyway, so why risk damaging the relationship? maybe it was just his mind drifting further and further away from sanity with being with the same person and staying in the same place for so long, but again, it hardly even mattered. All he wanted was to be happy, and he was so why would you want to change it?
His life felt more real, more natural, it felt like it was just his normal life and there was nothing weird about it. And perhaps it was far from normal, but what did he know? This was the best it was going to get for him, and when he thought about that it made him happy. Of course, there were some ups and downs with it.
For a while now, he has felt like Mikaela had a bit too much control over his life, over him as a whole, like everything that happens is up to him, and if it's not. then something bad is bound to happen. But... Yuichiro didn't mind that much. He kind of l-liked it... Being in the hands of the vampire, Mikaela could do anything he wanted to him, whether Yuichiro wanted it or not, knowing nothing but submission... That idea was kind of enticing to Yuichiro, though he had no idea why. Of course, he would never say that out loud, Mikaela would get the wrong idea, and there isn't anyone else he would even say it to.
There were times where that feeling of helplessness felt right, like the time Mikaela touched his thigh. He didn't know why, it was like he couldn't do anything about it even if he wanted to, and that was a good thing. It was just pleasant, the way Mikaela's fingers ghosted over his skin and left him feeling flustered and confused. What he was feeling, he couldn't identify. It wasn't an emotion he had ever experienced or encountered, and he didn't know what it meant, but it was a good feeling so it shouldn't matter, right?
"I'm done." Cheered Yuichiro as he held up his drawing proudly. It was a picture of Mikaela with a smug look on his face, it was pretty good too, he was getting better.
"I like it. I look so mischievous!" The blond said kindly with some excitement laced into his voice. He was about to say more but he was cut off by a small sound coming from the doorway.
"H-Human...?" Yuichiro heard being muttered. He looked over to where the sound was coming from and was met with a little group of children. There were four of them and they were staring him down with confusion evident in their faces.
"U-Uhh..." Yuichiro didn't know how to respond to the kids, no one had spoken to him until now. They looked worried and surprised.
"Why aren't you running from that vampire?! Go now! He's out to get you!" A young boy with blond hair shouted. Yuichiro frowned, he didn't like people saying stuff like that about Mikaela, but they were just kids who didn't know of nice of vampires. He could only assume, they probably looked at his Mika the way he looked at the vampires when he was a child.
