Chapter 6

I wake up as the sun rays hit my eyes. Once I open them I see Carl looking for supplies in the drawers "good morning Carl, why didn't you wake me?" I say with a sleepy voice "Good morning Y/N, sorry, you seemed so tired and looked so pretty while sleeping, i didn't want to disturb your sleep" Carl replies as he takes his eyes out of the drawers and looks at me with a smile on his face. "That's okay, thank you" I reply to him, I stretch my arms and sit on the bed, i try to walk out of the bed but as soon as I put my feet on the floor i feel a strong weakness and pain in my whole body accompanied by a headache "Are you okay? Carl asks" 

Y/N: I'm not sure, my whole body is weak and I'm having a headache...

Carl comes at me and places his hand over my forehead and then over my neck. "You're also having a fever, but don't worry, we've got plenty of medicines now, once we get back at the prison i will take care of you" he says to me with a calm voice 

Y/N: You will?

Carl: Yes, i will

Y/N: Well, you don't have to, someone else can do it, you have more important things to do *I say with my cheeks flushed and warm*

Carl: And so does everybody else, Y/N, you're really important to me and I want to make sure that you will be taken care of as you deserve, so I'll be the one doing it. *He says while he looks me deep in the eyes with his hand placed in my face* Now, please rest, when it's time for us to go I will wake you up.

Y/N: No, i gotta help you, you still need to look for more supplies in the house

Carl: It's fine, you need to rest, Enid will help me, it shouldn't take too long.

Y/N: Enid...why can't it be me? *I say with a slight angry tone in voice*

Carl: Because you're sick *Carl replies as he lays me down on the bed* please rest, look, i know i haven't been spending enough time with you, and I'm sorry for this, you think that i prioritize Enid over you but this not true, and if it ever seemed to be the case then it wasn't my intention, Enid is a good friend sure, but you are so much more than that to me, and i promise you that once you get fine i will fix the things between us, we are going to spend much more time together, just like we used to do. *Carl says and leaves a gentle kiss on my forehead*

Y/N: Carl...thank you *I whisper* *i place both my hands on his face and pull him closer to a kiss, i get a bit nervous but then Carl closes the gap between our faces and our lips touch in a pure and romantic kiss*  "i need to go now" Carl says with a quiet voice after kissing me "Stay for a bit" i ask him "i can't, but I'll come back as soon as I can, now rest please" he says before kissing me once again and walking out of the room and closing the door on his way out.

"You are much more than that to me" I think about his words as I stare at the door for a moment. What did he meant by that? Is it what I think it is? Also, he finally realized how i was feeling about Enid and him,  and i can't believe that we just kissed twice...i don't want to be a fool but i think that he may have the same feelings for me that i have for him" these thoughts cross my mind and the recent memory of being kissed by Carl warms my heart, and blushes my cheeks as i close my eyes and fall asleep.

Carl: Y/N, wake up, we have to go back to the prison *Carl whispers as he wakes me up*

Y/N: Okay okay *i say opening my eyes*

Carl: Oh god, your fever got much worse, but don't worry, you'll be fine. *He says touching my forehead*

Y/N: It's okay Carl, it's just a fever *i reply as I get off of the bed* where is Enid?

Carl: She's downstairs waiting for us
