A small story with Vampire!Aloha :D

Today was possibly one of the worst days Aloha ever had. From having a small headache that caused some annoyance, he was pretty much forced to go to the meeting today.

Not that he could pay attention at all.

The abundance of smells around him didn't help either, as Aloha started having trouble paying attention to the meeting. It didn't help that Mask, of all inklings, smelled like his favorite fruit.

Why did Mask smell like pineapples?

That didn't matter too much, as he tried to focus to distract himself. He couldn't bite anyone at all. Who knows what could happen if someone finds out?

Not to mention he had a party to plan for Splatoween today. He couldn't cancel it because of his secret.

Sucks being a vampire.

His stomach quietly grumbled, causing him to bite his lips. Biting Mask was way too tempting, but he shouldn't. No one should know his secret. At least not yet until he was more comfortable.

"Are you okay Aloha?" He heard Skull say, Aloha shaking his head. "Not really.." he mumbled, rubbing his head a bit, "Just feeeling a bit dizzy is all." Well, that wasn't a lie as he did feel dizzy, maybe he should go home already, drink one of his packets and rest for a bit before he finished setting up for the party.

"Up too late for your paaarty?" Mask sneered, before Aloha shot him a piercing glare. "Think you can make it home?" Skull asked, concern for his friend as Aloha got up, almost tripping. "Yeah I think? I'm not sick, just tired." Aloha replied, before he made his way to the train station.

"Mask, why don't you go with him? We'll resume the meeting some other time" Army said, as Mask gave him a look. "Ugh..really?"

Aloha had some difficulty trying so hard not to trip over. He needs to get his packet, Aloha doesn't know how long he can keep it up. That was until a hand grabbed his shoulder, surprising him as he almost fell back if it wasn't for the person behind him grabbing him.

"Didn't think you'll get scared~"

Of course Mask had to be with him right now.

"What do you want, Mask?" Aloha sighed, trying not to give into the urge to bite Mask. "Army basically forced me to go help you" Mask replied, Aloha rolling his eyes. Of course Army would. He thought Skull would, since Skull knew the little crush he had on Mask, but Army? "He's such a mom." Aloha sighed, Mask agreeing with him. "And all three of us? Crazy little kids. Seems 'mom' always needs a break from us yelling.

Aloha couldn't help but to let out a small chuckle, as the two of them made it to the train. Both of them sat besides each other as the train headed towards their destination, Aloha started to feel a bit sleepy. His head swayed towards Mask's shoulder, closing his eyes when he felt warmth.

"You smell nice" Aloha softly mumbled when he leaned against Mask's shoulder, Mask looking at him confused. What the heck did Aloha mean by that? Also, did Aloha look a little pale? And why did he feel colder? He said he wasn't sick, but Mask couldn't help but to think Aloha was hiding something. "Waaaake up! Don't lean on me!" Mask said, trying to shake him awake but stopped. He'll just let him rest for now.

Soon it was almost to Aloha's stop as Mask shook him awake. "I'm awake" Aloha said, leaning away from Mask as the train stopped at the station, both of them getting off. "I can walk home, y'know" Aloha trailed off, almost tripping again. 'Curse feeling weak' Aloha thought, before letting Mask take him home.

Once the two made it to his house Aloha quickly went to where he kept one of his packets, forgetting about Mask, before drinking it with the straw it comes with. He was starting to feel a lot better, that was until he saw Mask walk in where he was.

"Are yooou sure you're okay?" Mask asked, confused as to why Aloha had hurried into his kitchen. "Yeah! I'm okay! Just still a bit tired is all~ I'm gonna go and take a nap for a bit so can you please lock the door on the way out Mask?" Aloha said, waving off the confused Mask, as he threw his packet away before going to his room, closing the door.

Mask looked at the packet Aloha had thrown away, many questions running through his head before one thing popped in his mind.

He had something to ask Aloha, which he decided when it's time for the party. Mask decided to leave Aloha's house for now until the party started.

Two hours passed by as Aloha woke up, a small yawn escaping from his lips. He stretched from his nap, before putting on his devil horns. He was now ready for the Splatoween party now that his vampiric urges were calmed! Looking at his phone, he gave the thumbs up to his team before sending the notifications to people he knew the most that the party will start in three hours. That gave him enough time to finish the snacks!

Night soon came, and his house was filled with his friends and a few others for the Splatoween party. Things were going so well, especially getting some surprised screams! Though as much as he loved to party, Aloha wanted to catch a breather for a bit, going outside to his backyard.

Looking up at the night sky, he saw the stars twinkling before he heard his back door slide open.

"I knew you'll be out here."

"I didn't think you'd be dressed up Masky~" Aloha winked, as Mask pulled up his ski mask. "It's funny seeing people scared" Mask replied, showing he was wearing a face mask underneath. Aloha understood why, which he was glad Mask had something to wear for Splatoween.

"There's something I waaant to talk about to you though" Mask said, Aloha curious about it. "Oh? What's up?"

"You're a vampire, aren't you?"

"Of course you'll be the first one to know" Aloha signed, sitting down on the back porch.

"So you're really a vampire, 'loha?" Masked asked, as Aloha nodded. "Mmhm..been one even when we first met. It's easy to hide, but at the same time it's difficult too." Aloha replied, taking off his devil horns. "Do you bite?"

"Nah man, I don't go biting people. That's just rude to do. Anyone who does that without asking is rude" Aloha rolled his eyes as he gave his answer.

"Why did you say I smelt nice then..?" Mask asked, as Aloha had a look of surprise before scratching his cheek. "You smell like my favorite fruit Mask, that's why." Aloha replied, Mask having a look of surprise. He needed to look up more information about this.

"Anyways~ I should go back inside! I bet no one is getting scared" Aloha chuckled, giving a quick kiss to Mask's cheek before the other had a chance to put back his ski mask down. "I hope you'll still have a good time, Mask!" Aloha said, giving a small wink to Mask and going back inside.

Mask had froze for a bit after the small kiss on his cheek, before he softly blushed as he put down his ski mask to his face. "You idiot.." he softly mumbled as he two went back inside.
