Best Mistake
song used: Best Mistake by Ariana Grande featuring Big Sean

how soon do we forget how we felt?
dealing with emotions that never left
playing with the hand that we were dealt
in this game

Ariana stumbled into the bar, tears welling up in her eyes as she sat down on the stool.

Looking around her, she realized that she was at a local bar/club in the secluded part of Los Angeles; it wasn't very well-known or popular, but that didn't mean no one knew how to have a great time. The hyped music blasted through the speakers and the smell of alcohol was uncanny. She could already see the party of the night slowly creeping onto the people on the dance floor.

"M'am, would you like something to drink?" the bartender that walked up to her questioned. He had heard the news earlier this morning, but he didn't expect Ariana Grande would be the one to go to a club.

"Um, a shot of vodka would be nice."

And drinking? It must have been harder than what the news articles portrayed. "Coming right up."

The girl sighed, wiping her tears away from her eyes. She didn't even know what she was doing here, and what she was doing getting a drink. She was so against the clubbing and drinking, yet here she was - about to drink and party.

No, she wasn't going to turn into one of them. Not those people who party all night and get wasted enough to wake up and not remember a single thing that happened the night before. Of course not. She just wanted to get away, away from everyone and everything. She just needed to forget. Forget about him.

Once the bartender placed the drink in front of the brunette, she grabbed it, and without a second glance, she gulped the burning liquid down her throat.

She made a disgusted face; the drink was not pleasant. But she slowly drifted away from her thoughts, giving her a satisfied feeling, so she nodded at the guy to pour her some more. He did.

After her 5th shot, the club had gotten more crowded, and the music blared through her eardrums. But she didn't care. She just downed her 6th shot, her vision already blurring up.
She had never felt this rush before.

She felt so alive; she could feel herself jump off the stool, making her way towards the dance floor, letting her body move to the music, and her mind forget, forget about him and his smile.

maybe i'm the sinner, and you're the saint
gotta stop pretending what we ain't
why we pointing fingers, anyway?
when we're the same

"Bye Jazzy," Justin whispered, kissing his little half sister's forehead before silently exiting the room, lightly shutting the door behind him.

"How were they?" Jeremy Bieber asked once Justin made it to the bottom of the stairs.

Justin grinned, "They was amazing. We had a great time."

"Thanks for taking Jazzy and Jaxon out today Justin. They really wanted to go to Disney for the longest time."

"Of course, I'm always down to hang out with them."

Jeremy smiled and patted his son's back. "I'm proud of you Justin."

"That I'm hanging out with my siblings? Dad-"

"No," he interrupted. "You're better. You're happier."

"Dad, are we going to do it here? I've had a long day." Justin knew his dad was proud of him, he didn't need Jeremy to say it. It was just this feeling he had. Whenever someone said that they were proud of him, he couldn't help but think, was he that bad before? How badly did he have to fuck up for his dad to have to tear up?
