A/N: Hello everyone! Here is chapter 10: Pregnancy Announcement! This is something you probably weren't expecting to be a chapter but it is! Y/N's mother is pregnant with her third child and Y/N and her brother will find out! At a later time, they will find out the gender of their sibling at the gender reveal party that the staff members are throwing for the royal family! Her parents want to tell their children in person at the palace so Dumbledore gives Y/N and Christian permission to leave and to be excused from their classes! I got a letter from my mother the day of my first quidditch game at Hogwarts. She had my new Nimbus 2000 delivered by our family owl Hazel which was a gift from her and my father as a way of saying that they are very proud of me. She said in the letter that she has very important news to tell me and Christian. She wants us to come home to the palace so they can tell us in person. I have no idea what news they have but it sounds important. A day or two after I received the letter, Professor Dumbledore asked me and Christian (my older brother) to come to his office right after breakfast this morning. My friends looked quite confused as to why I left right after breakfast.
When we arrived at his office and after the door was closed and locked, Dumbledore said, "Your Highnesses, please take a seat." We took our seats in the chairs in front of his desk and he continued by saying, "Your parents have some very interesting news to tell you! All I know is that they have news to tell you. You have my permission to leave campus and you'll be excused from your classes for the next couple of days to spend time with your family. Go ahead to your dorms and pack clothes for the next several days. At some point, everyone here at Hogwarts will find out the news. Go! Go home!" Christian said, "Thank you, Professor Dumbledore, sir! We appreciate it! We'll be sure to send you a letter about what the news is! At some point, the rest of Hogwarts will find out the news after we do!"
We packed our clothes, I told my roommates that I had something important that I couldn't miss and that I was excused from classes for the next couple of days. Thankfully they understood that it is very important and were supportive. I met Christian in the Gryffindor common room while everyone else was in their classes and we used our wands to apparate to the palace (since they are royalty, the Ministry of Magic gave them permission to use their wands off of campus, even though they're under the age of 17 and they know that the children will one day become their rulers). Once we arrived, Anthony is already waiting for us, greeted us, and said, "Ah, your highnesses, welcome back! Your parents are expecting you in the private living room! They have some very interesting news to tell you!" We walked into our private living room and saw our parents sitting on the sofa.
Mother stood up and said, "My dears, welcome home! Your father and I have some news to tell you! Something that will slightly change our line of succession to the throne!" I asked, "What is it, Mother?" She said, "I'm pregnant! With your little brother or sister. I'm only 10 weeks along and I'm still in my first trimester! I only found out a couple of days ago and I already have a baby bump! Here, look!" She raised her blouse and dress suit jacket to show off her baby bump. This is her baby bump:
