Fourteen

~Tory's POV~

"Bye Jane" I hug Jane goodbye, she and the others are going back to Volterra while Felix and I are going to Florida. But first we are meeting my grandmother in Seattle, I'm going to explain why I'm not having any more suitors. That I found my mate.

"Bye" she says before running off into the woods, I look at Felix and he smiles to me. I smile back.

"Time to meet your grandmother?" He asks

"Yeah" nodding my head, taking his hand we go off to Seattle. I chose a very populated human restaurant, since I know how my grandmother can be sometimes. Especially now given what has happened with the Cullens, I don't know how she'll be so being around humans might be good.

It takes us about twenty minutes to get to the restaurant, once here we head inside and go to the table my grandmother is at with Mason. I have to hold onto Felix's hand since he heard the voice mails that Mason left. Yeah, Demetri let it slip that Felix had a background check done on me. I'd be so angry and feel so violated if that wasn't the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me.

"My little siren" Grandmother comes over and kisses my cheek "who's this?" She asks looking at Felix.

"Grandmother" I calmly say "this is Felix"

"Nice to meet you ma'am" Felix homes his hands out and grandmother shakes it, she smiles but her eyes are calm and calculating.

"Pleased to meet you as well Felix"

"We should sit down" as we sit down, Felix sits between me and Mason "grandmother, there is something you should know"

She looks at me then to Felix and then sees our rings and looks shocked "might I see your rings?" We home our hands out and she looks at them "can you take them off?"

"We can't" yeah for some reason ever since putting on the rings, we haven't been able to take them off "but that isn't why I called"

"Yes" nodding her head "you sounded quite serious, just like now"

"That is because" taking Felix's hand showing that Felix is here with me in some way "Felix is my mate grandmother, we only just met and"

"Impossible" Mason shakes his head

"Excuse you?" I ask

"He isn't your mate" pointing to him "no siren, would subject themself to a cold one"

"Watch your mouth" Felix growls "just because I have agreed to be civil does not mean I won't kill you"

"Tory?" Grandmother interrupts just as Felix and Mason were about to fight "is this true? Have you found your mate?"

"I have grandmother" nodding my head "and we are taking things slow, wanting to get to know each other before getting...too intimate"

She is silent before we see anger brew, we hear lighting and thunder from outside as a hard downpour of rain hits "did you know?" She looks at Mason "that my granddaughter has found her mate?"

Mason is silent "she belongs with me, not him" growling at Felix. Grandmother not happy snaps her fingers and we watch as two sirens grabs Mason "what?! No! You promised!"

"Have him taken to the dungeons" Grandmother looks at her royal advisor Calista "I shall be there when I can"

"Of course" Calista leaves with Mason who is screaming and yelling, if this was a normal restaurant with humans then I'd be worried but everyone around us just goes back to eating.

"Tell me" grandmother looks between us "how did either of you meet?"

"It was when your granddaughter stormed into the heart of the cold one vampire government giving the kings" I notice how he says kings and not his masters "well, she handed them their asses"

Grandmother smiles "so that makes you Felix Volturi, the executioner for the kings correct?"

"I am no longer apart of the Volturi" Felix says clearly "I left when they sent my ex to me"

"Good" I know my grandmother and she can be blunt "I hate those kings, especially that Aro. If it were up to me he would have been killed long ago, especially after destroying the Greek Coven" she thinks sighing sadly shaking her head "now that was a true ruling coven, did you know any of the members from that coven?"

"I did not" Felix shakes his head "their fall was from before my time"

"Shame" she says "you remind me a bit of their executioner, Alejandro" smiling "now he, definitely knew the meaning of knowing how to please a woman" looking between us "are you sure you two haven't"

"Once" I said

"Hmm" she smiles "tell me Felix, how would you feel if the Volturi fell? The leaders being killed?"

"I only care for my friends, not the kings" he answers. Good, cause something big is happening and I don't want my mate on the wrong side of things.
