TWO ACROSTIC POEMS

Somewhere in the meadow
Robin trilled her best melody
A ballad for monsoon
Bestowed with invisible lyrics.
A cloud obliged
Nodding her way.
In the afternoon,
rains christened my mother's name.

NOTE: this poem is an acrostic based on my mother's name Srabani/ SRABANI.

***

A sea has been swelling
Boats caught in its crosshair
Hark! sea-gull, hark
It's a stormy day.
Jaded southwesterly, on a course of revival,
Engineering a deep capsize.
Enters natural law
Towing the cruise- liner towards armageddon.

NOTE: the above poem is an acrostic based on my father's name, that is Abhijeet/ABHIJEET.
