***CHRIS POV***
Jen had been in New York for a few weeks and we had been talking every night even if it was just for me to facetime her to watch her fall asleep after a long day of rehearsals. She informed me she got brave and went out for head dancer. She didn't get it but became second dancer which was just as good since he was still head of the pack. She had made a lot of friends in the girls and I couldn't be happier. It was Thanksgiving Day and my family was up, mom was cooking and we were watching the Macy's parade. Rockettes were performing and Jen was going to be in the small group of dancers.
Her show opened tonight and I knew she was nervous but the parade was the first time I was going to get to see a little of what she could really do when she was performing. I had only ever seen her rehearse. There was a rapid knock on the door and Scott rushed to answer it.
"Did I miss her?" Jacob asked panicking coming in.
"No, they are about to come on." I said and he sat on the couch next to me. I was bouncing my leg and Jacob placed a hand on my shoulder.
"She will feel your nerves. She told me she always felt mine, you need to calm down." Jacob said and I laughed.
"I'm not super nervous. I just want to see her." I said and Jacob smiled. They heard the announcer announce the Rockettes and they all cheered. Lisa came running in from the kitchen. They all sat watching the tv.
"THERE SHE IS!" Stella yelled pointing. I smiled seeing her, she looked so happy and in her element. We all just watched them all dance and once it was over we cheered. I saw her wink at the camera and blow a kiss. I knew it was to all of us. The wink was just for me though, she told me she would wink once the dance was over. I just wanted to talk to her so bad but I knew I wouldn't hear from her at all today.

We were all sitting down to eat dinner when my cellphone started ringing with a facetime and I got excited. I answered it at the table.
"Hey you!" I said and she smiled. She had her hair and make-up done for stage.
"Hey! I wanted to give you guys a quick call. I'm about to get ready for line up for opening night. I'm so nervous." Jen said and I shook my head.
"You got this babe, it's what you were made to do. You were amazing this morning." I said and she smiled as I saw her eyes fill with tears.
"Do you know if my dad saw?" Jen asked and I passed the phone to Jacob.
"I did! I came to Lisa's for thanksgiving, she didn't want me to alone on the holiday since my amazing daughter is now away in New York being a famous dancer." Jacob said and she laughed.
"Really dad?" She asked and he nodded.
"Really. We are all so proud of you and love you." Jacob said.
"Love you more." Jen said and Jacob handed me back the phone. I got up from the table and headed to the back deck for some privacy.
"Okay, you are away from everyone. How are you really feeling?" I asked and she sighed.
"Like I'm constantly going to throw up. I feel like I messed up a million times this morning. I don't know how I got second dancer position I don't deserve it." Jen panicked and I just let her vent but I shook my head.
"You were amazing this morning. I watched it over and over again! You tried out for the top position and they gave second position. Jen, you are the best dancer, I may be biased because I'm with you but I think you are the best. Have you seen my Instagram today?" I asked her and she shook her head but I could tell she was looking it up. I saw a few tears fall when she found it.
I had posted pictures she had sent me throughout wardrobe fittings or just normal pictures of her and announced she was my girlfriend.
"Chris..." She said and I smiled at her.
"I want everyone to know how lucky I am to have you in my life. You are all that matter to me Jen." I said and she wiped tears away.
"Chris, you are amazing. Thank you for this." Jen said and then I heard someone call for line up.
"Go be amazing babe and call me tonight when you get home." I said. She kissed the phone and I laughed but kissed mine as well. She hung up and I leaned on the deck railing.
"She okay?" I heard someone ask behind me and I looked to see Scott bringing me out a glass of whiskey.
"She's nervous and I think a little homesick though she wont say." I said and Scott sighed.
"Do you think you should go up sooner than you were planning?" Scott asked and I sighed.
"I don't know maybe just for a small visit. I have the whole holiday trip planned with everyone. I mean she just started the show though and I don't want to impede that." I said.
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind you showing up for a day or so. You don't have to see the entire show. You know the Rockette's perform at the Rockefeller tree lightening ceremony. Go up for that." Scott said and I smiled.
"I think you just gave me a brilliant idea." I said and Scott smiled.
"Perfect, now can we please go in and get some food. I'm starving." Scott said. We laughed and walked inside.
Scott gave me a brilliant idea and I knew what I would have to do before I went and it was going to be sending somethings on a moving truck to New York soon, after I talked to Jacob first though. I hope this was going to be okay.
