The queen awokwned from the dream's trance, memories fogging up her mind fresh from the sweet sleep she had just moments before. The pregnant She-cat strode out from her moss and feather nest. A Tom-Cat sat outside the nest, awaiting her arrival he smiled and glanced down at her swollen belly.

"You should stay in the medicine den tonight, OliveBranch. You will be kitting soon". The Tom meowed and OliveBranch shook her head daintily. She sat besides the Tom. He glanced at OliveBranch.

"OliveBranch, I insist our kits need to be healthy, and the best way for that to happen, is for you to be safe". OliveBranch sighed, gazing up at the Tom.

"Bloodhound, I will be fine. You are the one we need to worry about". OliveBranch murmured, shifting so she leaned against the large male.

"Hm? Oh, I will be fine. Bloodclan can only do so much without over half of their cats, OliveBranch. You have no need to worry" He meowed.

"Even without over half, some could be spies, you know". OliveBranch whispered, fear gripping her heart.

"I know my fellow Clanemates well, OliveBranch. You have nothing to worry about. Tomorrow the battle will be quick and easy, only a few hours before we attack. Now please, go lay in Melonseed's den". Bloodhound meowed softly, raising his voice a little higher at his last sentence.

The queen nodded, padding off to the den. She sighed shaking her head. Bloodhound is too confident, the she-cat thought.

Yowls and screeches echoed around Riverclan Territory, cats fighting on every tail length of earth. A cat jumped on Bloodhound's back and he winced, shaking off the mass. A thud sounded as the weight lifted from his back and Bloodhound spun around. "Iron", Bloodhound breathed, he gazed at the deep silver tom, anger in his eyes.

"Iron, we grew up together. Does loyalty mean a thing to you?" Bloodhound meowed, dangerously close to slashing at the tom's face. Bloodhound clenched his teeth, claws just visible from his paws.

"You, question me about loyalty? I didn't help lead cats into betraying our clan!" He roared, eyes gazing with hot anger. The tom flashed onto Bloodhound with a yowl, claws outstretched and ready to embed into Bloodhounds flesh.

Iron's crashing weight forced Bloodhound to drop to the hard ground. He slashed at Bloodhound causing pain to sear along his face, blood welled at the place Iron had just slashed.

Bloodhound, being the larger tom, used his strong, long legs to push Iron off. His legs shot out like a fish leaping from water, hitting the Tom in the stomach.

Iron flew from Bloodhound, rocketing onto the ground and hitting the base of a tree hard with the bridge of his neck. A crack sounded like thunder and the tom lay still.

Dread rushed down Bloodhound's spine, as he stared wide eyed at the limp tom. Suddenly, memories flashed through his mind. Him and Iron playing as kits in the ally ways were they used to live. His heart shattered like ice under weight, what had he done?

A small brush on the shoulder startled him, he glanced around to see OliveBranch standing behind him, a scared look on her face. Clearly something dreadful had happened, for the look upon her muzzle was as startled as the sudden death of Bloodhound's friend since kithood, Iron.

"What are you doing here? You will get hurt!" Bloodhound gasped, confused and still grieving slightly after the tragic moment in time.

OliveBranch opened her mouth to speak when, Void The leader of Bloodclan raced over. Dried blood caked his muzzle, his paws were soaked in the redness.

"What are you doing standing around? Kill her!" Void yowled, his claws breaking through the thin layer of blood on his paws. He slashed at OliveBranch, spite in his gaze.

The queen stepped back, blood poured from her muzzle. Bloodhound turned his gaze towards the leader, hate in his albino eyes.

"You are going to regret that". Bloodhound hissed through clenched teeth, his eyes darkening with loathing. He pounced onto Void, his jaws clamped onto the toms chest, he tore out chunk after chunk of fur.

Void screeched, blood running from his chest. Blade, Bloodclan's deputy pounded over.

"Kill... Him.." Void hissed, his voice fading away. Blood welled at the corners of his mouth and nose.

Blade slashed Bloodhound in the face, Blinding his left eye. Bloodhound raked his claws across the toms throat, blood spilling onto the grass. Bloodhound set his jaws around Void's throat, crunching down hard. Many bones snapped as the tom let out his last tiny hiss.

Blade, blood trickling out of his mouth and neck, jumped onto Bloodhound, he tore at his chest. Blood cascaded down Bloodhound's body. He began to feel lightheaded. The next thing Bloodhound knew what him falling onto the ground, thudding as his weight met the surface of the cracked earth. The weight of the tom lifted and He gazed around, fog misting up his only working eye.

OliveBranch stood over Blade, he lay still in his own dried blood, it was caking his face. A pointed stone lay under his head. A ginormous dent set in his skull. His mate pawed at the unmoving figure, her paw came back soaked with deep Crimson blood, Blade's body sat still.

Olivebranch's face turned into an expression of horror as she raced over to see Bloodhound laying in his own pool of drying blood.

Olivbranch's muzzle had a huge scar with blood still spilling out of it. She gazed down at Bloodhound, sorrow and grief welled at her eyes. She crouched down to press her face against his fur.

"I love you, Bloodhound..." She murmured into his fur.

"I love you too, my sweet OliveBranch.. Remember me.. Carry on my story.. And please, keep yourself safe.. My death is for you and my kits.. I love so dearly already.." Bloodhound whispered, his eyes clouded with mist.

A darkness overwhelmed him as he closed his eyes, A welcoming darkness. He sighed, and lay still as his life drained from him, no worries fogged his mind, and no thoughts clouded his head. He was free of grief, and welcomed the lands of peace.
