Hey guys! Before you start reading, beware of a MAJOR plot twist. Well not really but there's gonna be a massive shock here. Hint hint: my two Itzy books are actually correlated.Your POV:
The sun was up, and the sky was blue, it was a perfect day to feel bittersweet. The sunlight stole into my bedroom, lifting me ever so slightly from the wave of darkness that had engulfed me during the night."Watson! Watson!" Called out Ryujin's unmistakingly dominant voice then, within the span of a couple ten seconds, my door was swung open and barely intact. I was about to scold her for being so reckless when I saw the red marks enveloping her body and the tears streaming down her back. She motioned for me to get up and follow her and so I did, she led me down to the basement of the house then quickly closed the door. Her mansion was actually quite silent for once, which I wasn't used to, there were no sweet cries for attention, no scurries down the stairs, no clanging of kitchen utensils. There was no one in the house except Ryujin and I and, even though I physically saw Chaeryeong move out weeks ago, the lack of personnel still came as an expected surprise.
"Ry- I mean, Ms Shin, could I ask you something?"
She glanced back as so to speak but merely gave me a nod of affirmation.
"What happened with Chaeryeong-ssi? One moment you guys are all happy-go-lucky, going on dates et cetera then all of a sudden you're ghosting each other?"
"How did you know about how Ryeong and I dated and loved each other?"
"It's my job to record your important-"
"SHE'S NOT IMPORTANT."
She whipped around and aimed a knife at my throat, the tip already pricking away at my skin like a thorn. Her hands began to tremble, the knife dropped out of her grip and her body collapsed on the ground shaking.
"Please... delete everything you've written of her..."
Reader, you would have noticed there are almost no articles or snippets that consist of Ryujin and Chaeryeong, this being because of the harsh instruction given by Ryujin. I was about to light up the candle before I felt a hand quickly stop me.
RYUJIN POV:
'She's not important.' Who was I kidding? She was my other half, my soul. I was dead without her. My selfish decision turned what was between us into a one sided love. Now I faced the consequences of my fallacy, I was empty... soulless. Even the brightest days had ceased to lift my feelings to a happier state. My light was lost, what else could be found? And you know what? I've tried. I really have. I've tried to forget her and let her go and hate her but I just can't. I can't bring myself to do that to myself and her. I don't even know if she still cares or not. God, how much easier it would be if I knew.
You came back after roughly 5 minutes with some writings about me and Chae still in their hands, I gritted my jaw in rage when I saw this. All I want is to forget her, is that going to be so hard? Why do they have to keep making my life harder? God! I believe in you, please... please... help me...
"Watson, I have a question for you," You glanced up and raised your eyebrows in curiosity. "Is a S&W Model 29 or a Jagdkommando more deadly?"
They weren't the ones who responded, instead it was a voice which I didn't expect I would ever hear again, "Don't answer that Watson and to answer your question... neither. Life is sharper, apparently."
I turned around and felt some of the cracks in my heart heal, some of the pain leave me. How could it be? She was dead. I saw her die...
"You have a habit of thinking out loud, you know that, Ryuddaeng?" She commented, laughing at me. "Also, I'm not dead. What died was an AI twin I made specifically for this mission as I was given 3 weeks to prepare."
"And you come back now?! You were gone for 3 weeks!" I shook her by the shoulders violently. "Did you forget us? Did we become irrelevant to you?"
She didn't respond. Instead, she summoned you and commanded you to write down the following words she said.
"I am not dead. I spent the last 3 weeks building upon the company that my sister made before she died, Hwang Industries, and I've made a deal with the Lees - more specifically Lee Chaeyeon. In regards to Chaeryeong, she is now under my supervision as my secretary and I have installed extra layers of protection around her office."
Relief washed over me like a refreshing visit to the beach, she was safe. At the moment, that was more than I could ever ask for - that my light in the dark was safe.
"With her safety insured, I was free to make some decisions. I struck a deal with the Kims (for details check my next update on You'll Never Know) and Jennie agreed to help us against the Chois. Now all I need is your permission to go ahead with it."
"You have it! What are you waiting for?"
"Jisu might get involved."
My skin paled, Yeji knew about my side-relationship with Lia? Did she tell Chaeryeong...?
"Uh... should I write down the information concerning Jisu?" You say to break the silence.
"Ani, that stays between us." Yeji replied and you nodded. "So! Is it a go?"
I was silent, torn between the two girls I love the most. I'd already broken my promise with Lia by continuing my comradeship with Yeji but she forgave me. This time, I doubt even Lia would forgive, no one would.
"I... I need to think about it..." I replied meekly, my voice trailing off. Yeji's cold, fierce expression softened at my reaction and she caressed my back in an attempt to soothe me.
"That's fine, you'll have 24 hours then I'll have to permit investigation. I'm sorry Ryu..."
She picked up her brief case and began to head our but then I called out to her, "Does she know?"
"No but you should really tell her."
