~ Alesta's POV

I awoke to a loud grumbling noise, it almost sounded like a giant's stomach, begging for food.

I got up and looked out the window that was next to the bed to see something beyond the gravitational laws.

The walls, were moving. Almost as if they were closing. I jumped when the met and made a loud boom that echoed through the Glade. They were closing, well, they were closed now.

I felt a presence enter the room and I turned around to see Newt.

"Oh good. You're awake. You've been sleeping the whole afternoon. Come on, time for dinner." Newt called. I nodded and followed suit. We went downstairs and out into the Glade. I now noticed it was nighttime, the stars peppering the the navy blue sky. It was beautiful.

We soon reached a shack, around it were tables with boys filling them. We approached one dark-skinned boy with an apron and a beard. He looked sweet though, but no older than 17.

"Hey Frypan. Meet Alesta, the girl Greenie." Newt said, introducing me to the bearded boy named Frypan. What kind of name is that?

"Nice to meet'ya Greenie." He held out a hand and I shook it. It was greasy, but I didn't want to be rude and wipe my hand on my pants, so I just let it be.

"Hi, nice to meet you too- Frypan...? Am I correct?"

"The one and only. Now, let me get'ya something to eat, ya' must be starving."

And as if understanding what he said, my stomach growled loudly, bring some of the boys' attention to me. And of course- I blushed beet-red.

"Ya' got that right Fry." Newt chuckled. God, he looks so cute when he laughs. Wait, no.

Pretty soon, Frypan came back with a plate of chicken and mashed potatoes, a weird mix, but I couldn't care less because I was starving. Newt led me to a table with some boys I have yet to meet.

We sat down and Newt introduced me to them;

"Alesta, this is Minho," He said pointing to an Asian looking guy, with hair higher than a mountain. He saw me staring and winked at me, causing me to look away and blush.

"Nice to meet you." I said shaking his hand.

"And you as well."

Newt cleared his throat and continued,

"This is Thomas,"

He pointed to a boy with short brown hair and tan skin. He didn't look half bad, he was attractive, but not as attractive as Newt. Wait, what? Okay, I think the hunger is getting to me.

"And, Chuck." Newt finished, pointing towards a chubby boy, no older than 12, with cute curly brown hair and brown eyes. He was adorable.

"Uhh, hi guys. I'm Alesta." I said, trying to make it less awkward.

"Hi! I'm Chuck!" The little boy said. I could tell I was gonna like him.

I nodded at Chuck, sending him a smile and shifted my gaze to Thomas.

"I'm Thomas." He said, holding his hand out for me to shake it. When I took ahold of it I felt a bolt of electricity shoot up my arm and in instinct I retracted my hand, as did he.

"Uhmm.. yeah. Well, let's eat, I'm starving." Newt said, seeing that we were both uncomfortable.

We finished eating our- delicious, might I add- food and wandered off on our own. I went to go for a walk, Newt following me. He walked beside me and I looked up at the sky. It was stunning, the stars just randomly sprinkled across the dark sky, it was beautiful.

Newt noticed and looked up too, smiling and saying,

"It's beautiful isn't it? The sky. It's the only thing I like about this place, except you, of course."

"Oh- uhm- I-I meant..." He trailed off, looking down and blushing.

"It's fine, Newt. I understand what you meant. And besides, I like you too."

Did I really just say that?

"Wha-what?" He asked, flustered.

"Nothing, nothing." I said, distractedly looking up at the sky.
