A Sick Day

Y/n pov

'Cough'

"Starlight, you don't sound good..."

"Oh. I'm fine..."

He puts his hand on my forehead and cheeks.

"Nope. You're hot. Literally and figuratively."

My face gets more warm by the sudden compliment, but he doesn't seem to notice.

"Symptoms?"

"Uhhhh... I feel warm, I'm more tired then usual, my throat feels weird, my nose is blocked, and-"

'Cough cough'

"I think that's everything."

"Hm. Ok."

He stands up, but suddenly picks me up bridal style and walks to the kitchen.

"Moon! You don't have to!"

"Nah. You're too much of a klutz when you're sick. If I let you walk, you'll be acting like there was an earthquake."

I open my mouth to say something, but nothing comes. I mean, he ain't wrong. I sigh and lean into his touch. He was warm. But not like the type of warm when I was sick. The good kind of warm.

He sets me down on a chair and looks through the medicine as I pour myself a glass of water.

'Cough'

"You got THOSE coughs..."

He puts down a tablet and sits next to me.

"Ugh. This one tastes bad..."

"Come on. Man up and swallow."

I put it in my mouth and drink the water.

"And swallowing hurts..."

He puts his hand on mine and pats my back.

"It's fine. It'll be over by tomorrow."

"It better... I feel like shit right now."

"I thought you felt like that all the time."

I slowly turn my head to him with an unamused face.

"Just get me the ice cream."

"No."

"Why not?!"

"It'll just make you worse!"

"But it always helps!"

"On your period!"

"Pleeeeaaase"

I suddenly hug him, which takes him off guard.

"You can eat with me!"

"U-uhhhh... Well..."

He puts his hand on my back, seeming to almost agree. But, he stays strong.

"No. Stop being a naughty child and don't let go."

He chuckles and strokes my hair.

"Good gir-"

'Cough'

"EWWW! ON ME?!"

"Ah! Sorry!"

I quickly let go of him and wipe his chest with a tissue paper.

"THAT'S NOT GONNA HELP BUT I APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORT"

Time skip

"Guess what I got Starlight~ Soup-"

"GIMME"

I quickly snatch the bowl from him and devour it.

"Damn..."

"This is good~"

"Thanks Starlight~!"

He picks up the remote and browses the choices.

"We're watching an early 2000's sitcom."

He chuckles and puts one on.

"I think I'm getting deja vu~"

Time skip

'Groan'

"You feeling any better?"

"I don't know..."

"Hm. Too bad-woah..."

I suddenly crawl on his lap and wrap my arms around him, my head resting on his chest.

"U-uhhhh... Starlight, are you ok...?"

I smile and hug him tighter.

"Yeah~"

"Huh... O-ok~"

'Cough cough'

"Ugh... "

"Sorry!"

"No. It's fine. I'm used to it now..."

He wipes his chest while trying to hide his disgust. But, he wasn't good at it.

'Yawn'

I was about to get up, but Moon stops me and holds me tighter.

"No. Stay."

"Ok."

He smiles and rests his chin on my head, stroking my hair as he sings a lullaby. I smile as I feel my eyelids get heavy.

"You're the best Moon~"

"Me... The best?"

I yawn and nod my head. He smiles and kisses my forehead.

"Thank you Starlight~ You too~"

I smile and close my eyes as I lean into his touch.

Moon pov

She looks so peaceful~ And so cute~

I kiss her cheek and rest my head on her shoulder. I put my hand on her cheek and turn her face a little. I then give her a short and gentle kiss on the lips.

Wait wait wait WAIT WAIT WAIT

I immediately pull my head back, eyes wide on my flushed face. I pat her head and whisper in her ear.

"Sorry..."

I let out a deep breath to the to calm myself.

'YOU MOTHER FUCKING-"

Yeeaaa... It didn't work...

I'm sick right now. Yay! Though I'd right this kind of chapter because I feel like shit. And, ice cream didn't help
