It's Been A Full Year

'Knock knock'

"Moon? Can I come in?"

No response

I don't know what happened. Ever since Moon came back from getting my wallet in my car, he wouldn't talk to me, and he would get these random outbursts by the slightest inconvenience.

"What's wrong?"

"NOTHING! I'M THE HAPPIEST I'VE EVER BEEN"

'Sigh'

Moon pov

She's gone now. I hide my face in my hands and let out a sigh. I don't like what I saw yesterday. I don't like missing posters. Especially if it's one of Linda...

"WHY DID I DO THAT TO HER?! SHE DIDN'T DESERVE IT"

I punch the wall repeatedly to get out my anger and guilt.

"I-I'm sorry... I m-miss you..."

I pick up the bean bag and throw it across the room.

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO"

Y/n pov

What's he talking about...? And I can hear loud sounds coming from his room... I'm going in.

'Knock knock'

"Moon, I'm coming in."

"NO"

I open the door, but he slams it shut.

"Please. I can try to help you."

"DO YOU HAVE A FUCKING TIME MACHINE OR SOMETHING?!"

"N-no."

"It was a full year ago... YET I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY STUPID MIND"

I use all my power to open the door, which works. I almost fall i the ground. I look up and see Moon with pure anger on his face.

"I thought I said not to come... Do you just not listen...?"

"W-well-"

He suddenly grabs my shoulders, shaking me a little.

"WHO AM I KIDDING?! NO ONE EVER LISTENS"

"What do you mean...?"

He shoves a paper in my hands. I look at it and...

I look back up and see him sitting in the corner, covering his face with his hands as his shoulders bounce a little and little whimpers escape his lips, showing...

He's crying

I walk up to him and sit beside him. I soothingly rub his back in an attempt to calm him down.

"She's gone..."

He suddenly hugs me and cries on my shoulder.

"BECAUSE OF ME"

I don't say anything. I just hug him back in a comforting manner as I let him cry on my shoulder.

"It's ok..."

"IT'S NOT OK! IT NEVER WAS AND NEVER WILL BE"

"I know you didn't mean to..."

"L-lies..."

"I'm not lying. I actually mean it..."

"I'm sorry... To both of you..."

He grabs my shoulders and sobs on my chest.

"I'm so mean..."

"You're not mean!"

I cup his cheeks and make him look at me.

"You're the nicest! I'm lucky to have you as a friend!"

"Apparently she wasn't..."

I sigh and get the night light and turn it on. He sniffles and looks at the different pictures projected on the walls and ceiling.

"Is it nice?"

He looks down and nods his head, trying to avoid eye contact. I cup his cheeks and lift his face up, using my thumbs to wipe his tears.

"I-it's...nice..."

"Do you...feel nice?"

He hesitates for a moment, then shakes his head.

"N-no..."

I wrap my arms around him and hold him close.

"It's fine..."

He just blankly stares at the night light as his tail loosely wraps around me.

"Do you want a grilled cheese? I can make one for both of us."

Still staring at the night light, he nods his head, still not showing any emotion.

"Ok."

Time skip

I come back in the room with two plates, seeing him still in the same position. I place the plate in front him and sit beside him.

"Eat it while it's still warm."

He looks down at the plate and picks up the sandwich. He takes a bite and he...

"Thank you..."

He turns his head to me, then suddenly pulls me in a tight hug.

"T-thank you!"

I smile and return the hug, soothingly rubbing his back.

"You're too nice! Thank you so much for being here with me!"

"You're my friend~ It's only fair if I return the favor~"

He giggles and holds me closer. I stand up and grab his hand, leading him to the living room.

"How about we watch a movie?"

"Yeah... I'd like that~"
