Chapter#6 Unsheathed Blade

"I'm Senji muramasa" the man says grinning holding out his hand.

"where am I?" I ask the man I know now as Senji smiles at me as I stand up ignoring his hand.

"Welcome to your inner world, it's basically a physical representation of your soul" he says not bothered by my refusal to take his hand.

"I don't understand why am I here now, shouldn't I be dead?" I ask looking around.

"Time moves slower here than the outside world, I brought you in here to finally have a long awaited talk" he says.

"About what? What could someone like you want with me?" I ask.

"What I'm about to tell you is extremely important so listen closely" he says, his once cherry voice gone.

"Your sister was taken by some powerful people and to save her you'll need my help, I'm going to activate powers that laid dormant in your body, to use these powers you'll have to train your body and walk down a path of battle and death" he says.

"But why choose me? I know danm well this can't be for free" I say glaring at him.

"Yes your correct I would like something in return for doing this, I want you to finish a project I started while I was alive but never finished" he says.

"And what's this project exactly?" I ask folding my arms.

"All my life I strived to create the perfect blade, a sword capable of cutting through fate itself, I died before I could ever get close to finishing it, so after my death I began to search for someone capable of helping me finishing it. Then I found you, you have the perfect set of abilities to do it so when you were born I say myself inside your inner world.......however once I settled in i was assaulted by visions of your future, so i began to forge as meny weapons as I could and began storing them here for you to eventually use" he explains.

"Wait if I have some kind of crazy power why couldn't I use it to save my mom!?" I yell grabbing him by the collar.

"You could have given me that power to save her but instead you just watched!" I yell with tears in my eyes.

"There was nothing I could do, your mind was and still is under a large amount of stress, if I had activated them without informing you of how they worked you would have been overloaded with info and passed out in that burning house, it was only recently I've been able to communicate with you, those dreams were me slowly acclimating your body for this meeting.......I had no idea those people would do what they did......true I did see bits of the future but only visions, no exact dates.......had I known I would have tried something to help before hand........and for that I'm truly sorry" he says softly causing me to let go of him.

"Fuck!" I yell out in anger walking away a bit to cool down.

'deep breaths David' I think as I began to calm down.

"I know this is a lot but please listen, the power you posses allows you to copy weaponry but your body has an unnatural affinity with bladed weapons, with this power you have a high probability of actually being able to forge the weapon I've spent centuries trying to create, if successful such a blade could easily allow you to save your sister.........." he says.

"I.......*sigh* I need to think" I say stressed.

"You have to hurry, yes time dose move much slower here but time is still moving outside so unless you wish to die you must make your decision" he says.

"Something is still bugging me, sure you want me to help you make a sword, I don't mind doing that, but the way your talking make me think there's more to this deal" I say.

"Yes, your correct I have yet to explain to you the cost of your early activation of your powers, I had originally planned on activating them slowly over the course of the next few years but due to recent circumstances we don't have time for that.......David the cost for activating them all at once are great" he says softly.

"Get on with it.....what do I have to give up? An eye?, a arm? I made a promise to my Mom that I would take care of Lisa, it doesn't matter what to cost is, I'll do anything to save her" I say determined.

"The cost is that you'll lose half of your lifespan........20 years of your life will be used up doing this" he says causing me to freeze.

"I know it's a lot but the choice is up to you, however I suggest you answer quickly our ugly friend outside doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon" he says.

"Heh.......fine I'll do it, if it's to save my sister then I'll pay that price" I say smiling sadly.

"Very well, I'm sorry that this happened to you boy it tortures this old heart to see such things happen, but I must thank you for doing this........for honoring my last request" he says as he began to glow.

"W-what's happening?!" I yell out.

"Your not the only one who must pay a price, mine is I disappear, but before I go I'll activate your power.......but you will only have 30 seconds to kill that creature before your body causes you to fall unconscious due to the stress and the process of your body acclimating to the power will be painful" he says.

"I.....I........thank you for everything, I'll make sure your sacrifice isn't in vain and ill use my power to save my sister" I say.

"I'm glad to hear that, now let's begin" he says as he held out his hands, next blue and red motes of light began to float into the air around us before slowly falling into my body.

"This is goodbye boy, but before I go let me leave you with a warning, beware the man in red" he says before he disappears into motes of blue light.

"Right.......let's go" I say as my vision was filled with light.
