I stopped crying because I can't barely breathe. Hindi na maayos ang paghinga ko kaya pilit kong pinigilan ang pag iyak. Nasa rooftop kami ng condo at nakauwi na. Nang mabalitaan ko na aalis na ang iba sa amin ay sumabay na kami. Ang iba naman ay naiwan don kasama si Lucas.
"Yes. Ask more questions. I know there's a lot of questions running on your mind right now" Sagot niya habang pinagbuksan ako ng tubig.
"I'm sorry" Bulong ko. It must've been hard for him as well, "I'm glad you didn't see me"
"Why?" Natatawang tanong niya but the sound of his voice is hurt. His eyes are hurt.
I looked around, "Hindi ko kayang ipakita mukha ko sa'yo noon, eh"
We're on a rooftop. Still the rooftop where everything started and where it ended. And now, I feel like we're starting again. Should I be scared?
"Wow, we've come so far" I said out of nowhere.
"I think so" He agreed, "Remember the coffee shop that I want to build with my friend?
"Hm?" I nodded.
"We're trying to fix the things we need to complete to start building it. Are you still willing to help us?" He asked.
"Of course" I nodded. Alam kong masaya si Miko doon kaya siyempre naman, tutulungan ko.
"You know, they're engaged." He looked at me. Who? Heaven? and who?
"Heaven and?" I asked. Now that I mentioned the name, I suddenly remembered the girl who bumped my shoulder in the cafe. Heaven din kasi name niya, what if same person sila? That would be exciting.
"James. I told you that they're exes, right?" He chuckled.
"Oh, good for them. Send me a proper letter and I will sign it" Sabi ko pa.
He nodded, "I will"
"If ever we fixed our problem... would you let me talk to your father?" I asked him. Matagal ko nang sinabi sa kaniya na kaya ko namang kausapin ang tatay niya. He didn't let me talk to his father back then and now... I just want to say sorry. I don't know, I feel like I need to talk to him.
He was silent. I guess he's still not ready.
"No pressure" I whispered.
He chuckled, "Do you want to see him? Hindi ba dapat ay galit ka sa kaniya?"
"I don't know. Nawala na rin naman ang galit ko" Sagot ko at uminom ulit ng tubig.
