SEVERAL MONTHS AGO IN MID-JULY
NEILS POV
As I ran down the road I was excited! I was FINALLY going swimming without my dorky older sister being there! This was going to be great! As I rounded the corner I saw my friends waiting for me.
"Hey morons!" I call to them as I stop running and walk.
"Gee thanks asshole. I love being called a moron." My best friend punches my arm playfully
"It's hot as hell let's go swim!" We walked to the changing room excited to have some fun.
I was the first into the pool. Tyler and Corey went to go hit on some girls so I jumped in. Just as my friends were heading over I noticed Ezra on the other end of the pool. Flirting with the lifeguard. What was her name? Lou? Liz? Lynn? Lynn! That's it. God what a tool! He's dating my sister and he's gunna go around and flirt with other girls.
"What are you looking at Neil?" My friends had joined me in the pool.
"I'll be back. I have a tool to deal with" I swam over to him. He was leaning against the side of the pool. God I hate this guy.
"Hey asshole! Finally taken a break from beating the shit out of my sister to flirt with other girls? Oh that so nice of you!" I said in a sarcastic tone.
"What's he talking about Ezra?" The lifeguard asked.
"Oh she doesn't know-" I'm cut off by Ezra pushing my head under the water. The last thing I see before everything goes black is Ezra's smile.
