Sniper gripped his stomach in pain, eyes widening and breath shaky as he looked down to see the red blood staining his palms. His adrenaline was pumping, and he was in total shock as he fell onto the ground, gasping. He'd been shot by the enemy Engineer's pump-action shotgun, who decided to come down into the intelligence room due to Scout capturing it. Although he wanted to get up and protect Scout, he couldn't get up so easily. Things like this were why Sniper preferred doing his job from far away. Was following Scout a bad idea?

"Oh, fuck." Scout however, was unscathed. His hands were sweating, and his grip on the intelligence was getting weaker. The enemy Engineer had his gun pointed right to his head, while the enemy Spy walked into the room, a menacing grin on his face. Scout didn't know what to do. "Drop the intelligence, and I'll let him go. Deal?" Asked the BLU Spy, butterfly knife at Sniper's throat. He had observed how close the two were, having overheard their conversation earlier. Scout didn't know what to pick; he didn't want to see Sniper in pain, but he could only imagine the disappointment of his teammates if he failed to bring the intelligence back. He took a deep breath, before deciding to save Sniper. He knew well that it was a dumb, terrible decision he made on impulse like usual, but the thought of seeing Sniper in pain... He didn't want to see that. There was always a chance the respawn system failed too, but Scout didn't even want to think of that. He went through it everyday, but he felt paranoid. Scout didn't want to lose Sniper.

"...Fine. Here's the intelligence. Take it, ya fuckers." He said, picking Sniper up.

"We have dropped the enemy intelligence." Administrator's voice played, causing the BLU Spy and Engineer to laugh in triumph. "Hahaha! We did it, y'all!" Scout felt himself burn with rage as the enemies laughed and celebrated. I'm gonna... I'm gonna freakin' kill them after this. I'll never forget this.

"Roo, no. I'm going to respawn, don't do this." Sniper whispered, his voice quiet and strained. Scout couldn't stand seeing Sniper like this, it hurt him so much. "No! I'm gonna save you, shut up! The others will get the intelligence!" He cried, running away with Sniper in his arms. The runner wasn't the strongest, but in this moment he did the best he could to carry Sniper while he looked around for any medkits he could see. "Medic! Medic, I fucking need you! Come here!" Screamed the man, his voice desperate and cracking. "...Medic! C'mon, doc! Please..." He made his way up to the exit of the intelligence room, running as fast as he could with Sniper still in his arms. The blue colouring plastered and painted on everything in the building began making him sick.

His calls were met with total silence. The only thing he could hear was the wind and his heart beating, faster, faster... Every second, its pace only quickened, just like Sniper's time left to live. His shirt was dyed blood red, and some of it was even dripping onto Scout's arms although he couldn't care less. All he wanted and needed was Medic to come and help them.

He tripped on multiple sticks and stones, getting some nasty bruises and cuts along his legs as his knee-high socks ripped, but he didn't at all care. All he was focusing on was finding Medic, but the landscape was barren. He heard the screaming and distant gunshots from afar, but he couldn't find where the hell the other mercs were. Oh god. Sniper, don't die. Please.

"Scout." Sniper said, catching Scout's attention instantly, who's running came to a halt. "I would've respawned, you shouldn't have done tha— Argh!" He cried out in pain, his grip tightening onto his wound, which didn't at all stop bleeding. "Leave me. Now. I'm going to be alright." He said, his tone getting even more slow and quiet. Scout paused, his eyes growing teary. For a moment, the only thing that one would see was Scout holding his dying friend in his arms paired with the sound of the calm breeze. "...Snipes, I hate seein' ya like this. I can't stand it. I don't wanna leave ya to die, please..."
