"Oh crap, it's changed a lot, huh?" Remarked Scout, looking at the scenery from outside the window. It was filled with colourful rides, food stalls, and families roaming around. His eyes widened as he looked around the fair excitedly, thinking about where the four of them should go. "Where should we go first?" Asked the runner, eager to explore.
As Scout exited the van, he got a better look at the fair. It really had changed since the last time they'd been here. "Hmm, I am good with whatever you all want." Heavy spoke, closing the van's door behind him as he walked over to Medic, who had also made his exit. "In that case, why don't you try the X-Treme coaster? You said you would try it, correct?" The doctor said, a sinister grin on his face, which caused Scout to raise an eyebrow. "We'll wait for you two down by those benches."
"Yep! I sure will, and I ain't gonna scream!" He boasted, a confident smile on his face. Sniper had gotten off as well, and sighed. "Ya shouldn't force yourself to ride it," He said sternly, to which Scout pouted at. "I don't want ya throwin' up on me, ya know?"
"Don't worry, Sniper. He will be in good hands if he ends up sick." Smiled Medic, although Sniper was a bit unnerved at his words.
"Ha! As if I would throw up! C'mon guys, let's go already! I gotta prove to you all that I ain't gonna puke, scream, all of that crap!" Scout bragged, while dragging Sniper along with him to go on the X-Treme coaster already. Laughing, both Heavy and Medic followed a long, hand in hand. "...Doktor, this will end badly."
"Indeed, it will, Heavy." Medic chuckled, hand on Heavy's shoulder. "Indeed, it will."
"Holy shit, the line's totally empty! Looks like everyone's too much of a wimp to ride it, hehe. I ain't like that, though." He smirked, purchasing a ticket for both him and Sniper. He barely had enough cash to buy two tickets, only having a bit of loose change. "Yeah, thanks!" He smiled, thanking the cash register. "C'mere, Snipes!" Scout grinned, buckling up and waiting for Sniper to take his seat next to him. Admittedly, Sniper was admittedly a bit nervous. He wasn't too weak to roller coasters. In fact, he enjoyed them, but this one lived up to its name. There was a loop-de-loop, and two extreme drops. He gulped, fastening his seatbelt and preparing for the ride to start moving. It was only him and Scout, Medic and Heavy were sitting down on a bench below, giggling like little girls as they watched the roller coaster.
"Oh, they are definitely going to scream like little babies!" Laughed Heavy, watching the ride make its ascent to the first drop. Scout, meanwhile, remained confident despite his heart beating faster than it ever had. He felt like he was on top of the world! The two were so high up, and the wind was blowing across both of them. Scout held on to his cap, mere moments before the coaster began plummeting down.
"Oh shit–" Whispered Scout, feeling the wind blow across his face as the coaster rapidly descended. Sniper was looking away, totally silent. He was feeling even worse than Scout right now. He felt dizzy and light-headed as the coaster began going around in the loop-de-loop. I really shouldn't have gone on this bloody ride.
The ride prepared for one last, extra-extreme drop while Sniper held onto Scout's hand tightly, unprepared for the final drop. "Huh, Snipes, ya scared?"
"...Don't ask." He sighed, inching closer to Scout; at least as much as he could through their fastened seat belts. As the coaster plunged down, Sniper's grip only tightened onto Scout's. As much as the runner wanted to scream, he stayed silent, his thumb gently grazing Sniper's in an attempt to comfort him. Scout was pretty shocked that Sniper of all people was the one who'd freak out during the ride. He always seemed so calm and collected.
Doing his best to back his screams, he breathed a sigh of relief as the coaster came to a halt as the last drop finally ended. "Whoa, that was... The name was not a lie, that's for sure." Scout let go of Sniper's hand for a moment, unbuckling his seat belt. Sniper zoned out for a second, before unbuckling him as well. "...I'm never goin' on that bloody ride again. Let's go, roo."
