"Hey,Trunks,Catch!" Yelled Goten, throwing a ball at Trunks. Trunks jumped to catch the ball,but failed to catch it. Trunks picked up the ball again,throwing it back at Goten.
"Goten,do you feel it too?" Asked Trunks,looking about
"Feel what?"
"I feel like someone's watching us" said Trunks. Goten looked about too, but didn't notice much
"I dont think so"
"Let's check,I'm sure someone is"
"As you say" said Goten as they began to check everywhere they could. Behind the bushes, up in the trees,everywhere
"Ha! Found you!" Yelled Trunks,as Goten came running to the spot. They had found you hiding behind a tree
"Ooo,look Trunks,she's a cat" said Goten,petting your ears as you flinched back slightly
"So,why were you watching us? Cmon,get it out,or we know kow to fight" said Trunks ,tapping his foot on the ground.
"Calm down Trunks,I think you're scaring her" said Goten,noticing the tears in your eyes
"I d-didnt mean to do anything. I was just watching you play. Please dont hit m-me" you say,wrapping your tail around your leg in fear
"We wont hit you,but why were you watching us play, dont you have friends or anyone to play with?" Asked Goten,before Trunks made a snarky remark
"I don't know who or where my family is,I never knew them. All I know is I'm half cat." You say,feeling a bit more comfortable around Goten,who you thought was a bit nicer than his other friend.
"Oh..I'm sorry for that. But you can play with us,can't she,Trunks?" Goten said,looking at Trunks hopefully. Trunks thought for a bit, then looked interested. What child wouldn't like to play with someone who is half a cat?
"Sure!"
Goten grabbed your arm,pulling you with him to where they were playing.
"You want to play catch with us?" Asked Goten,slightly excited
"Sure,I guess...."
Goten threw the ball at you a little too strongly. It barely missed you
"Goten! Be careful with her,or you'll hurt her" Trunks said
"Oops,sorry. Hey,what's your name?" Goten asked you
"Y/n"
"Oo,cmon,let's do it again. I'll go slower this time "
After sometime,you got really comfortable with the two boys. You got to know their names,Goten and Trunks. You liked Goten better. The three of you played all sorts of games, and for a kid who's never got to do such things,you were simply delighted.
"Goten! Trunks! Cmon-....whose this?" Asked Chi chi,who had come to get the kids
"Oh,this is our new friend,Y/n. She has no home,can she live with us,please?" Pleaded Goten. Chi chi looked at the small girl, who was biting her nails nervously. Her clothes were torn and she looked severely underfed. Taking a pity at her,she decided to take her with them.
"Ok, she can come"
The four headed home. Chi chi kept on looking at the small girl, noticing she is a neko. How come a neko girl, especially a child,is left wandering in the wide city?
They were greeted home by Gohan. He too,was intrigued by his brother's new companion
"Is the girl going to live here? She looks neglected " Gohan asked his mother,who was looking through the shelves. She looked back at the table, where the three kids sat.
"I don't want to leave her alone. Shes so young. This world is cruel,what if someone does something to her. She can share the room with Goten" said Chi Chi. Gohan nodded in agreement
Chi chi turned to the small girl with a small smile.
"Do you have a family,Y/n?"
You shook your head no.
"Dont worry,you can live with us here,in Goten's room with him. We're nice people,trust me " said Chi Chi,patting your head
"T-thanks miss,its really nice of you"
"No problem,come,let's have lunch"
You all ate lunch together. You didn't remember when you actually had food this good or in an amount that would fill your stomach, but you didn't care. Chi Chi kept on nudging you to eat more,determined to get you in a healthy shape.
Trunks left for his home after lunch. You watched him fly away,curious on his ability. Chi chi gave you one of Goten's shirt to wear,making mental note to buy you some clothes later on.
"Thanks miss"
"Hey cmon,let's go to my room " said Goten
You both headed to his room, where you continued to play all evening. By the time you had dinner, you were both exhausted and sleepy.
Chi chi made some adjustments in Goten's room so you fit in. She tucked you both in bed,kissing you both good night. It was new for you, but you liked it. If this was what it felt like having a parent,you loved it.
"Hey,Yn?" Mumbled Goten sleepily
"Yes Goten?"
"Will you be my best friend?"
"What's a best friend?"
" a friend who never leaves his friend alone"
"Oh,I'd love to be your best friend then"
"You'll be the best best friend ever"
"Thanks Goten,I hope you will too.." you say,drifting off to sleep with a smile on your face.
Best friends forever..
That's what Goten and you are,and always will be..
