My hair flew slightly as the night cold breeze that was let in through the open window of the hidden building. The room was set up more technical than the one back in base. I could see maps, cameras that seemed to be attached to mine and ghosts suit.It was all techie with dozens of computer screens and a microphone.
"You copy?" Soap asks. Speaking into an ear piece. "Fuck me." I twitch slightly as my ear piece hits me with a shock of electricity.
"Sorry." Soap walks towards me, "You alright?" He leans towards me and pushes my hair behind my ear .
"She's fine soap." Ghost says in a tone.
"Yes I'm fine sorry." I reply to Soap. "I'll fix your frequency if you're getting shocked it must be that." Soap explains as I turn my head he grasps my ear. "Hm.." he looks at it. "Uh.." he says in a confused tone.
"L.T a little help?" Soap looks at Ghost, he groans and walks over to me. I gulp feeling his big body next to me, all the equipment we had on made it hard for him, he presses his body against mine harshly.
He grasps my face with one hand, which covered almost half my face. His hand took hold of my chin making me face the other way and lean slightly down.
"Right." He whispers into my ear as he fixes the piece. His voice sends shivers down my spine, I swallow. His fingers keep brushing my face pushing the hair from my ear, he groans struggling with his big fingers and my tiny ear.
"You're good to go, mouse." His deep raspy voice makes my heart slightly speed up. "Thank you sir." I look up at him, lick my bottom lip nervously. He maintains eye contact, like he is admiring my face.
"The sun is officially set let's get going." Gaz interrupts us, I swallow and swiftly turn my head and pull myself away from his eyes.
I didn't know what that was I felt drawn to him, and Ghost bright blue eyes staring down at me DIDNT help at all.
"Okay how copy?" Soap speaks, I smile and put a thumbs up. "Right you already know where you're going but Price wants you two to stick together until you get to the targets." He continues.
We had already ran through the plan more than enough times that I knew it by heart, I wasn't really scared about going on the mission. Ive been on hundreds of course these are more advanced, this seemed to be easy. I was more scared of encountering something I wouldn't be expecting.
"Got it." I respond.
"We'll be up here watching your every move let us know if you encounter anything." Gaz says.
"Let's get moving, Mouse." Ghost says, I nod in response as we begin to swiftly move downstairs.
I admire how the moon covered the city, all the building looked empty in the morning and yet they looked even more lonely now.
"You ready to go?" I hear Ghost muffled voice say from his mask, I just nod as we continue on route. No one seemed to be outside and not a single sound could be heard.
If I dropped a pin it would probably echo.
We walked down the concrete path and passed by all the small houses, I couldn't bear to stare at them for long than a minute knowing people just had to up and pack everything because they didn't want to die.
Ghost watched straight ahead as I watch behind us and above, the roofs felt off, you never knew who could be hiding on them just waiting for the perfect moment to shoot a bullet right in between our eyebrows.
This felt like the beginning of every horror movie, no lights, no sound, tension and no idea what was to happen next.
"I have two in front of you." Gaz voice says from my ear piece. "One on the left other on the right, behind the small yellow house." He continues.
"They've spotted you one seems like they're trying to sneak up on you." He states.
My eyes fixate on the house as I was staring at it just seconds ago and didn't see a thing. Ghost moves closer toward me, "Okay kid you go straight ahead and I'll go from behind." He whispers. I take a big gulp and follow his lead.
He leaves my side making me feel unsafe and completely naked.
I creep slowly towards the house, I turn around a few times and watch the house not seeing a single thing, I edge closer to the stairs and see a shadow move through the light of the stars and moon. My eyes dart directly at it.
My hand reaches across my body, with my dominant hand I grip the handle of my gun. I jump quickly pouncing to where I saw them. I point my gun directly at where I thought they were.
"Woah easy mouse." Ghost stares at me.
I look down already seeing their dead bodies on the floor. "I'm sorry sir." I apologize. "Let's get moving." He puts his gun back in the holster I follow and do the same.
We follow the same direction as Ghost tells Gaz we handled them.
It was more him but I'm glad he said 'we'.
"We're here." Ghost whispers. I look at what is the biggest building, we were in the bottom area which like the rest of the town had no lights, but the way it was built the moonlight leaked through.
"I spot them." Ghost says to me, I look at the direction he was looking at and didn't spot a single thing, I give him a confused look.
He grasps my waist with his big hands causing me to get tingles in my stomach, he pushes me softly in front of him, as my eyes adjusted to the light I spot them walking around carelessly with two huge guns bigger than my arm.
I look up at him, "what are we doing?" I ask. He lets his hand drop from my waist and back to his side. "I'll take the one on the left, I want you to take the one on the right." He says.
"You get that, Gaz?" He asks into the ear pieces. "Copy sir get going we only have a time limited window seems like the big boss could be heading down any minute now." He explains.
"Better do this quickly then mouse." Ghost looks at me.
"Meet back here when you're done." He says.
He drifts away from me. I look at my target and decide to go from behind, I touch the pocket of my inner thigh, grabbing my "silencer".
I think back to the building plans Gaz had showed us earlier, the boulders and bushes made it easier for me to hide behind.
I inched closer and closer without him noticing.
He begins to speak in Spanish, I didn't understand it but I would hope it isn't anything that would give me away.
"Target one down." I hear ghost say from my ear piece. "Okay L.T , how about you mouse?" Soap finally says something after not talking through the ear piece during the whole mission, his voice somehow calmed me down.
I pounced onto him and put the cloth onto his nose, he was heavier and stronger than I assumed but it made no difference as he passed out in a split second. I grip by gun as I did earlier and shoot one bullet through his head. It honestly shocked me how it felt to let his body fall down to the ground, it wasnt existing I honestly felt scared and frightened watching the life leave his body, I shake off the feeling.
I gasp quietly hoping it wouldn't make sound which it didn't. "Target two down." I whisper as I put everything back into my pockets.
"Okay get back he's on his way down." Soap says.
My body relaxes slightly already getting the job done, I go back to where ghost said, he was already waiting for me clutching his gun close to him. I wave, and walk closer to him.
"Good job, mouse." He compliments which felt odd since he hasn't said a nice thing to me ever since we've met. I clear my throat, "thank you sir." I whisper.
"Let's go."
