The flight was mostly silent in the beginning until Valerie explained everything that she hadn't told him before, she told him that Stormborn was her mothers maiden name that she used as a way of untethering herself from her father and his name leaving nothing with him behind, also believing her brother did the same, she also stated that Eret was a close friend of her and her brother and took great care of them when they were younger as the only one older than them yeet younger than thirty that made him like a big brother or cousin for them, taking great part in their training with their weapons, which was how she was as good as she was when she got on Berk. They reached the boat where Eret was at, they heard them shout as nets were fired at them which they quickly dodged landing on the deck all weapons pointing at them, Valerie shivered at being on the boat knowing where it was headed "and here I worried we might show up empty handed" he smirked pointing his blade at them the same way he did earlier that day, Valerie glanced at him grabbing her sword but Hiccup held out his hand making her stop and raise her eyebrows at him "nope. It's your lucky day. We give up" he stated, raising his arms, earing confused glances from everyone around him.
Even Valerie didn't know what was going on, Hiccup got off his dragon as Valerie stared at him before she went do do the same sword in hand "that's one Night Fury, one Nightshade" he stated as Valerie got down walking forward when a net was thrown over her making her gasp in surprise at the action "and one of the finest dragon riders west of Luk Tuk, with the woman you've been looking for" Valerie's eyes whident at the words as she glanced over at Hiccup who was guiding her along taking the weapon out of her hand passing it to a man they walked past towards the cells of the lower ship, he walked calmly Valerie threw of the net before she went down into the darkness glancing at Erit who completely didn't know what was happening, she turned her gaze to Hiccup sending him a look "what are you doing?" she asked which he didn't respond just went down with her closing the gate asking Toothless to stay earning a confused grunt from the dragon, the gate closed and they glanced up at the black dragon that was pacing around as if looking for a way in, as stormbreaker just stared at them "the dragons don't really care for cramped spaces, so they'll just hang with you, they won't be any trouble"
They heard Toothless jump and Stormbreaker hiss as weapons were pointed at them making Hiccup peap his head through the trapdoor probably used to feed the dragons with "unless you do that. You know, wooden boat, big ocean. How is your swimming" he asked earning a not good from one of them making Eret groan loudly, Hiccup the pointed the hilt of his sword up through the crack activating it making the blade burst with fire, Valerie glanced at him irritation filling her as he handed the weapon to one of the guards "how is this a plan?" she almost hissed before taking a deep breath like a way of forcing it down, she couldn't get mad at him, or shout not at this moment. He explained how it worked before ducking down as an explosion rigged the ship making Valerie stumble "once they see you as one of their own even the testiest dragons can be trained" he continued as Toothless tried to puff the one spark in the air, giving an adorable dance as he did so.
Eret ran forward grabbing the hilt "give me that!" he exclaimed before throwing it making Stormbreaker grumble and chase after, Valerie didn't often play fetch with him but when she did it was almost impossible for her to stop it again, for when she tried to stop he would nudge her begging for her to do so again, the fun thing was that she wasn't the one who taught him it it was the children that he had spent so much time with they found it funny to do with him. "What game are you playing?" He asked Hiccup shook his head as StormBreaker came back dropping the hilt "no game. We just wanna meet Drago" he responded as Eret threw it once again to Storm's enjoyment "why?" he asked skeptically. He knew after so many years of Looking where Valerie had been gone from the face of the earth she probably wouldn't come back even if her father was dying. There was a reason she chose for it to be so, Hiccup leaned forward resting his arm on the metal "because I'm going to change his mind about dragons" laughter was heard from the men at his words as Valerie stepped up standing beside Hiccup leaning against the metal "he can be really preservative when he wants to be" she pointed out though she didn't like Hiccup's plan on going to her father, taking her with him. Though it was her choice to go, though it still didn't mean that she liked it. But Eret was once dear to her so if she could help change his mind on the subject maybe, just maybe it could help free him from his cloches she hoped it would be that way.
