Why did you wear your wedding ring on your left-hand today?
Did you fight with him last Saturday?
Cause it shone brilliantly on your fingers the previous day,
But now the glimmer has faded away.
Why did you rest your head on a different side of the window?
Is your head aching from last night's blow?
Cause your eyes looked red and low,
But still never lost its hazel glow.
Why do you say you wish for a lover?
Did I not promise you the world, the stars, the rain, and the summer?
Cause you said you wanted love to be discovered,
But now you just want the content of having her.
Why did you never love me?
Did I not love you to eternity?
Cause now shaking in my grave feeling sorry,
For the times I let you flee.
