In your eyes, you hold the power
That can fuel the ever-reigning love within me.
In your embrace, you pour showers
Which flows inside mingling with my bloodstream.
A tale that can always be rewritten,
A heart that will always remain smitten.
A sound that was never heard again,
A thunder that only strikes in midnight rain.
Do we deceive ourselves?
By an image that would tarnish the reality of our minds
Are we tired of ourselves?
Trying to fit in the void of ceaseless time.
Time ahead, I can see you and me,
Far from where destiny directed us to be,
Then the ones who rejoiced in mockery,
Will be bit to dust to watch us walk into eternity.
