It was a particularly beautiful evening. The sun was setting, the breeze whistled and I could here the faint sound of an owl in the distance. Yes, everything was perfect all I need to do is wait a little longer for (y/n) to show up.

As I stared fondly at the moon that was beginning to show, my mind pondered the memories that I've shared with (y/n). From the time that I had stumbled upon her when I was a child, to the time I asked her to accompany me to Konoha. Today was going to be the day. The day that I finally propose to the love of my life.

"Gaara..? You there?" I hear her speak. "Ah! Right here!" I say, waving my hand in the air. I catch her attention and my eyes land on her beautiful smile. Her face completely lit up upon seeing me and my heart fluttered. She walked gracefully towards me, hugging me gently. "What is it that you wanted to ask me?" She asked, her face full of curiosity. I sigh nervously, my body trembled slightly and my heart thumped hardly in my chest. This is it.

I gently take both her hand in mine, getting on one knee. She looks at me with a surprised expression. Her eyes glistened in the moonlight. "(Y/n) (l/n), the days I have spent with you have made me the happiest in my life. You are my past, my present and hopefully, my future. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" I asked.

She stiffened, her eyes watering slightly. She smiled brightly as she looked down at me. She fell on her knees, embracing me in her arms tightly. "O-of course I'll marry you, Gaara," she whispered shakily in my ear. I then made her face me, my eyes blurred from tears. I slowly caressed her cheek, leaned in and kissed her passionately.
