I was thrown onto the back of one of the riders as they took me to home tree. There was already a massive crowd around me. I had someone pull me down rough to the ground but thankfully I keep my ground. "Good. For sky people." The same man said. I smiled and nod my head. He leads me deep into the heart of home tree where the clan leader and the tsahik were standing. Tmust have known I was coming some how. The clan leader started to asses whether or not I was going to be allowed to learn their ways. However soon after he started his wife placed her hand on his shoulder. "No, she stay. Ewya says. Tsu'tey, come. You teach her." The man from before came forward but growled in protest. Suddenly in almost a flash I had seen that he was there the school closed. That he hated my kind more than most, with a good reson. "Im not them. I wont hurt any of you like they did." I said very gently. His head snapped and he looked at me with furry. "You do not know of what you speak!" He told me. "I do. You were there. At the school that day that the bad people came. You saw what happened and I am saying now I will never do what they did." After I said that a couple more seeds from Ewya came and fell on me.
" She speaks true. Ewya sees it. She is special. Tsu'tey, you will teach her our ways." Moat said. The clan leader nodded and I knew that it was final. Everyone knew it was final. Tsu'tey growled and groaned but he put up no fight. I knew that he had no reason to like me or even trust me. I'm not even sure if I could earn his trust but I was damn sure going to try. I was going to give him no reason to hate me and then maybe he would see that I am not his foe. I look at him to find he is already staring at me. I chose not to move though, I will let him come to me when he is ready. He jerks his head back and to the left while making eye contact. I nod and start to follow him. He led me up and out of the base of home tree. We go up to a living space that looked like they would eat here. And judging by who was here I was right. I smiled as I looked around and I followed him.
After a while if sitting and eating I wanted to try and test my luck. " So, what's your name?" I tried to ask him. He just looked at me like I was nuts. "Like, what does everyone call you." "What makes you think you get to know that." He said rather harshly. I looked away and nodded. I looked back to my food and ate in silence. "Tsu'tey." He said after a while. "My name is Tsu'tey." He said not gently but much kinder than he had been talking to me recently. I looked at him and nodded while smiling. "What do they call you old one." He asked. "Old one?" I asked and he nodded. "Don't you sky people only get white hair when you are old?" He asked I smiled and laughed ever so softly. " Sometimes they do. Mine just turned white one day I was only a child when it started. My make is Kodiak. But you can call me Kodi or Snow like you said earlier. " I said gently. " You don't talk hard do you. " He said. I shook my head " why? " He asked again. " Where I am from, no one really cares for what I have to say. There are a couple people but that's it. I am mostly ignored. My people don't like me. And neither do you. " I said. " I don't not like you. I don't trust you. I will watch as time goes on to see if I might change my mind. But why do your people not like you. What about togetherness. " I looked at him and saw only curiosity. I shake my head " I do now know. " I said feeling rather sad about it. " Come let's find you rest. Tomorrow starts early. We start soon as morning does. You will need all the training I can give. " He said that with a small smirk. He was teasing me know. I smiled at him. " Only if you think you can keep up with me."
He led me down to where they have the 'beds'. They were various sizes of hammocks, bigger ones for the larger families. We went to the singles. He jumped down and got comfortable. I did the same as I turn to face him. He rolled his eyes and turned around, pulling the bed shut as he did so. I shake my head and smiled as I rolled back over doing the same thing that he did. Closeing the case for the night. Grace would shit her pants when I tell her where I am right now. When I closed my eyes I could tell that the link had broken and I was back in my world. When I started to open them, I was met with the bright light of a flash light and the lid was already open. "Whats up?" I said a little out of it still. "Where the hell are you. Is the body ok. Are you ok." Grace asked really concerned about what had happened to me during the time that I was out again.
"You are never going to believe what just happened to me." I said with a smile wide on my face. I told her everything. From the long walk to the very end. The beds and the home tree. It was more amazing than she could have ever described it to me. By the end, she was crying. I walked over and gave her a hug, I knew that she needed it. She wipped her tears and stood up straight. "We need to get you refreshed. Village life starts early, and as much as you love and care for you new body, you will still need to take care of this one. So go, take a shower ang get something to eat. A meal, not a snack Kodiak." When she said my full name I knew that she meant what she said. So thats what I did. I got food with Norm after I took a shower and then while I was eating I started to do a video log. I knew Grace would want me to, and I thought it would be cool to have them you know. It could help the future avatar riders learn the ways of the people.
