Log - 7 : Yuigahama's Home Invasion

"I'm home~"

One day, after returning from shopping, Mrs. Yuigahama said the usual words when She entered the front door. No voice responds to it. It was midday, so naturally Yui, her daughter was still at School. She then proceed to carried the heavy shopping bags to the kitchen in the house.

"Phew, that was tiring."

She put down the bags and took a deep breath. She had been running around all morning with a list of things she needed for herself as well as for her daughter. Her body was exhausted, but she felt satisfied because she got everything on the list.

After she put everything of the groceries into the rack and refrigerator, she goes to the living room, sit on the couch and turn on the television. There was a breaking news about a robbery that happened around the neighborhood. The reporter is talking about a robbery that occurred last night.

The victim was an elderly woman who lives alone. They were robbed by two men while they were a sleep. After they stole her goodies, they fled the scene immediately. The police are currently investigating the case.

"For those who staying around this neighborhood, please stay safe and keep in mind that the criminal is still on the loose. And if you by any chance seeing these people, please call the police immediately."

Mrs. Yuigahama's face twisted up in fear seeing the picture of the criminal description. They wears a black hoodie with mask covering almost whole their faces. She quickly turned off the TV.

"That's kinda scary... I hope they catch them soon..."

It was true that there have been many cases like these lately. Especially in the past few months, robberies had become more common than ever before. In fact, it has even reached a point where people were afraid to go out late at night.

It was at that time, suddenly....

*rattle~* *rattle~*

There was a rattling sound coming from somewhere. Mrs. Yuigahama stood up and looked around.

"Hm? What's that?"

There was no one else here other than her. She thought maybe she heard something outside, but it seemed like nothing was happening. Also, It still 1.00 PM. Yui still won't be home for the next few hours. She started to walk slowly to the corridor of the house and poke her head to look around.

Only to find an empty corridor house. She took a deep breath to calm down, However.....

*rattle~* *rattle~*

The rattling sound coming again. This time from the second floor.

"Who's there?"

She walked slowly towards and up the stairs and looking around. But she didn't see anyone.

"Maybe it's just my imagination..."

But she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. But then, she saw the door towards the bathroom was opened but the bathroom light does not turned on. Mrs. Yuigahama slowly approach the bathroom.

"Why is the door open?"

She turned the light on and opened the door where she found.....

"Sable!"

Sable, Yui's pet dog were sitting down on the bathroom floor, waging his tail and not far from where he sit, a box of detergent that was stacked near the washbasin fell down and its contents were scattered on the floor.
