The Way I Remember Us.

The difference between.

Liz is crossing the pedestrian going to the studio with her hands full. With boxes and paper bags.
Allan happened to be driving down the road with Renz.
Allan asked renz to pull over because he wanted to go down and see Liz.
Renz did so and Allan ran to approach Liz.
Liz was surprised to see Allan blocking her way with a sweet smile on his face.
Allan waved and took some boxes that Liz was carrying and helped her.
Liz felt surprised and asked. "Is that you Allan?!"
Allan nodd with a big smile on his face.
They walked and Liz pointed out where they need to bring the things.
"Anong ginagawa mo pala dito? Si Renz nasaan Hindi mo ba siya kasama?" Liz asked.
Allan made a smug face and joked. "Bakit siya ang hinahanap mo? Nandito naman ako."
Liz laughed a bit. "Ano ba.. naitanong ko lang naman kasi madalas kayo magkasama nun. Nga pala, naikwento niya ba sayo?"
Allan shook his head. "What about it?"
Liz smiled and didn't say anything.
"Liz, what is it?"
"Well, you could asked him. That Renz of yours." She replied.

After 2 minutes, they arrived at the studio.
Liz entered together with Allan.
One of the staff was curious about the guy she's with and questioned her. "Who's he? Bago ba?"
Liz waved her hand after giving that staff she'd been carrying and waved as an answer of no and said. "Kaibigan ko. Sa ibang company siya nagwowork, nagkita lang kami diyan sa daan kanina, kaya tinulungan ako sa dalahin ko."
The staff nodded and smiled at them both and he even asked Allan to follow him so that he can also drop the things he's been carrying.

Allan looked around moving his eyes all over the place. It's not his first time seeing something like this though but it brings back memories back when he's just starting to work abroad.
Liz ran over him and acted to bump him.
The other staff told Liz to be careful and Liz said sorry to that staff.
Allan and Liz looked at each other and made a silly smile.
"Anong masasabi mo sa studio?" Asked Liz while both hands on her hips.
"Hmm.. as usual it'll be kinda noisy and full of staff and lights, cameras. An angry photographer over there.. assistant obeying orders, lots of props, food over that corner. So normal, no?" Allan while pointing on each he was mentioning.
Liz grab Allan's arm and pulled him gently to leave the studio along with her while saying. "Let's leave now. They're busy."

On the street.
"Let's take a break." Said Allan.
The two stopped at the coffee shop that was just around the street before crossing.
They both ordered a natural juice and a sandwich.
"How are you?" Asked Allan. He notice her eyes were both swollen a bit. "Were you crying or you didn't have enough sleep?"
Liz rubbed her eyes gently and said. "Nagkaron kasi kami ni Sasha ng maliit na hindi pagkakaintindihan. Pero ok naman na."
Allan showed his concern and asked in a worried tone. "What has happened? Tell me about it."
Liz took a deep breath and drink her juice before starting. "She got jealous over me with Renz."
"What?! With Renz?! How come?!"
"Well.. as I told you to ask him, but fine! I'll tell you. Renz called me out to discuss something over lunch. And we both didn't know that Sasha and her parents were both in the same restaurant that day. And she saw us."
Allan place his juice on the table after drinking. "And what's this discussions all about? Is it about him having feelings -?"
Liz leaned her right hand and gestures of stop. "I know what will you ask. It'll be just the same as Sasha. Hindi ganun, ok? He called me out and share something abouth them. Actually, Renz dumped my friend for the reason na, hanggang hindi raw settle yung love life ng tinitingala niyang higher-up niya eh ayaw daw muna niya na pumasok sa pagrerelasyon."
Allan choked over the sandwich he was eating and Liz quickly hand him the juice he was drinking. "Ayos ka lang ba? Dahan-dahan kasi."
Allan nodded and smiled knowing it's him Renz was talking about.
"Pero sayang kasi. Kung ipagwawalang bahala nila yung feelings nila baka pagsisihan nila balang araw. Alam mo yun, ayoko lang na balang araw masabi nila na bakit hindi nila sinubukan? Ayokong mafeel nila yung regret."
Allan looked straight to the eyes of Liz. He felt something behind her words and her reaction. "May pinangginayangan ka ba? May hindi ka ba nasabi o nagawa sa taong gusto mo? Mukha kasing may hugot." His face reaction was slightly serious and so eager to know the answer.
Liz laugh a little, a laugh that Allan can tell it's just for show to hide her feelings. Then she drink her juice while looking on the other side.
Allan bit his lips and suddenly said. "I've been missing someone in my whole life. It felt so sad, Liz. But the one thing that urges me to inspire myself was the words she had told me. 'Na kahit magkalayo-layo man kami, magkaroon ng mga kanya-kanyang landas balang araw. Sa puso ko, mananatili kayo at never ko kayong kakalimutan; magkikita at magkakasama-sama ulit tayo'."
Liz eyes widened as she rose from her chair. A memory flashes through her mind. The memory of her and Allan walking going home after school without Francis by their side.
She was a bit confused. She knows those words she still remember when and to whom she had said those words with.
She's looking to the eyes of Allan that staring at her too in a serious and sad reaction.
Allan stood-up and hold her hand as he whispered. "I've heard it from a friend of mine in the US. Is there something wrong?" Allan's reaction changed and pretended to be smiling just to made an excuse.
Liz reaction changed too and smiled, a relief smile and hold on to Allan's hand also. Liz's hand were shaking a bit and Allan felt it. "Huwag mo naman akong binibigla ng ganun. Kamuntik ko ng isiping ikaw si Allan na kaibigan ko nung bata pa ko. Pero hindi ka naman siya, diba? Kaya.. kaya, medio natakot ako."
Allan rapidly hugged Liz as hard as he can after seeing Liz eyes, those were the eyes of a person who misses the person she holds dear. In his mind he's telling himself that Liz still remembers everything, every detail in their past and it made him so very happy.
But in Liz's mind she's starting to doubt.
She also hugged Allan. She was like in a cloud nine. Allan had felt Liz's arms around her back that made his heart felt overjoyed.
In Allan's mind he's saying. "It's me Liz. I'm here now. I'm Allan, your long lost childhood friend."
