Tris pov

I hear Tobias fall off the bed. I look and see him sitting up with his head between his knees.

"Tobias, honey, are you alright?" I ask and he nods, "Come back up here and lay down."

"Tris, if someone ever has you and my sister almost dead and I have to choose between you two can you promise you will never give yourself up. Please?" He asks and I look at him.

"Tobias, you have a sister?" I ask and he stands up.

"Yeah, she's a transfer this year." He says and I nod. I remember an abnegation girl with dark brown hair pull out of the bun and her dark blue eyes staring at Tobias watching him.

"Tobias, please come sit with me." I say and he sits down.

"Tris, please, promise you won't do that. Please." He begs and I grab his face in my hands and look into his eyes.

"Tobias, no one will do that. No one will make you choose between us. I promise. If that happens I am sure you'll find-

"Tris, can you just promise that you'll let me assess the problem before you give yourself up?" He asks cutting me off.

"Tobias, you're scaring me. Why are you making me promise something?" I ask and he just kisses me.

"I just had a bad dream. Promise me." He says and I nod while he lays back down. I lay down next to him and he pulls me to where I am laying on his bare chest.

"Tobias, are you okay?" I ask and I feel his hands stop moving on my back.

"Tris, I don't know." He says and I sit up. I look into his eyes and he just stares into my eyes blankly. I turn the light on and pull him up. He sits against the backboard while I look at him.

"Tobias, what do you mean by you don't know?"

"Tris, I just feel so many different emotion right now. I feel like ignoring them all answer the problem when really it just make me so much more confused. Tris, I honestly don't know anything at the point."

"I can tell you some things I know for a fact. Maybe that would help you." I say and he nods wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Maybe."

"I know that I love you. I know that you are a very protective man. I know that you are absolutely nothing like Marcus. I know that you will forever be the love of my life. I know that you will always be there for me. I know that I will always be there for you. I know that I will forever love you." I say and he kisses me.

"Tris, I know that you will always be the love of my life. We need to go to sleep. We have work tomorrow, and we are starting with planning our wedding." He says and I nod. He slips down the backboard and I slip with him. I put my right ear over his heart and listen to the calming beat. I slowly fall asleep with my body rising and falling slowly with his breathing and the comforting of his protective arms wrapped around my small body.

~~~~~PAGE BREAK~~~~~
I wake up in the white infirmary room with something tough and warm under me. I move my head a little and see Tobias' shirt covered chest. A nurse comes in and I sign my release papers. I get up and see Tobias still asleep. I get changed into jeans and a tshirt. I cover my missing fingers that none of my friends realized. I walk back over to Tobias and start to shake him.
"Tobias, honey, it's time to wake up. Come on." I whisper and he slowly starts to wake up. He finally does wake up and he stretches. He stands up and goes to grab my right hand which is missing my index finger and my pinkie. I move it away from him not wanting him to see my missing fingers.
"What?" He asks and I shake my head.
"It's nothing. Let's go to breakfast." I say and he grabs my right arm gently. He pulls up the sleeve of my jack and sees my fingers.
"You're missing fingers?" He asks and I nod. He kisses my fingertips and the two stubs on my hand. We walk out and to the cafeteria. Breakfast is boring except me trying to eat without my two fingers and my friends realizing I'm missing them. I finally get to the tattoo parlor and walk in. I tell Tori I can't do tattoos anymore and she sticks me on register duty.
Lunch comes around and Tobias shows up to take me to lunch. We walk and he talks about the initiates. I'm not allowed to train anymore because I'm missing fingers and I need them to do everything. It sucks. I'm surprised I'm still here in dauntless. I can't throw knives, good punches, or fire a gun without my fingers.
"Tris, I heard you lost some fingers." I hear Nat (the newest leader from last initiation) say from behind me. I stop when I feel his hand on my shoulder. I tense up and clench my eyes shut.
"Eric, leave her alone." Tobias says from beside me.
"What are you going to do about it. We can't have her in the faction if she can't fire a gun or throw a knife." Nat says and I hide my right hand in my pocket. I turn around and slap him with my left hand. I heard a pretty good sound from it and I see a red mark on his cheek.
"You just assaulted a leader. You are going to live in factionless." He says and I look at Tobias.
"Nat, who's your boss?" Tobias asks and Nat looks at him.
"You are, Four. Why?" He asks and Tobias puts his arm around my shoulder.
"You are not allowed to threaten my fiancee ever. No matter what. You know that." Tobias says and Nat looks at him.
"I thought you two broke up."
"Nat, it doesn't matter. You aren't allowed to threaten her or anyone because you aren't a leader. You're still in training."
"Sorry Four. Sorry Tris." Nat says and walks off. I look at Tobias and he is smiling. I roll my eyes and we continue with our day. We finally have our wedding most of the way planned. All we need to do is send invitations, get my dress, get his tux, get the bridesmaids' dresses, and the groomsmen tuxes. Not much.
