Ferris Wheels

Chapter Four

I wake up in a yellow room. Oh the color of the sun. Some lady comes up to me and introduces herself.

"Aliceandra I am Johanna the leader of Amity. I will tell you everything there is to know about you. You are Amity born. You obviously chose Amity. Your name is Aliceandra but your friends call you Alice or Ally. You are a gardener and a faction ambassador. I will cancel all of your meetings until you start to function as yourself again. Also you are sixteen years old but your birthday is coming up soon. The whole faction will throw a party for you." As I walk out I get offered a piece of bread and I gladly take it. As I try to find my appointed room. On my way I meet Ruth and Heart. I thought Heart's name was very creative and they showed me to my room. I get changed out of these mysterious black clothes and into a red flowy skirt and a red blouse. I put on my shoes and Ruth says she has gardening with me. We walk to the fields and I look at the flowers. I find a empty patch with flowers beside it. I kneel down and start to follow Ruth's movements. Soon I am planting them faster than her. Someone comes around holding a jug of water. I stand up wipe off my hands and hug them. I pull away and take the water.

"Thank you. I'm Aliceandra, what's your name?" I ask handing the water back to the little girl about ten.

"I'm Lisa, I'm ten years old. How old are you?" she asks and I ask her to join me so I can continue working and talking.

"I am sixteen but my birthday is coming up." I say and she hands me a plant. When we hear the bell we stop and stand up. We wipe our hands and I thank her for her help. I find Ruth and Heart at lunch and we eat. A man runs in wearing black. Weird.

"Hey what's a Dauntless man doing here in Amity. They always think we are way to happy." I eat my bread and he walks up to me.

"Tris, what happened to you? You hate Amity and you know the bread has serum in it." He says taking the bread out of my hand.

"I don't know who you are, or who this Tris person is. I am Aliceandra and this is Ruth and this is Heart." I say pointing at my friends. Lisa comes over and gives me a flower. I look at her and hug her.

"Thank you Lisa." I say and look at the weird man.

"Tris, what happened?" He asks and then Johanna come in and see the weird man. She comes up to us and takes him away. He was cute but we are in two different factions.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!?" I hear the strange man scream at Johanna. I get up and walk to them.

"Sir please quiet down people are trying to eat in peace and have conversations. I understand it is your faction to be rowdy but please. Be quiet." I say and he looks at me.

"Fine. Johanna please tell me what the fuck you did to Tris." He says and I cross my arms.

"There are children here. Please keep your cursing to a minimum." Johanna says and he nods. They walk away and Johanna motions for me to follow.

"Alice you actually came from Abnegation and you transferred to Dauntless. This was your fiancè. I don't know what happened but you came here and told me to take your memory and create you as Amity. You told me to keep your past away from you but he was to fast for my men." Johanna says and I shake my head.

"Johanna it is not nice to make up lies. I need to go back to work. I'm sorry for interrupting your conversation earlier. It was rude of me." I say and go to walk out when the man grabs my arm.

"Sir please, I need to get back to work or I won't be able to buy clothing. I won't be able to get money. Please I need to work. I have a job." I say and he let's go. I walk away and I see Ruth and Heart. They ask me what happened and I explain.
