I woke up startled. There is no way I can do this. I can't destroy all life.
"You had a nightmare, didn't you?" Luna Tenebris asked.
I nod. She sits beside me.
"I'm sorry Arestro hit you. But he was right, never go down the path to kill. Life is valuable." She said.
I think I am on that path, but I can't. I could never destroy the dragons. I could never destroy the elves. This planet is my home. It is men, but I am not from here. The creator was right about one thing, we are both celestials. Silence fell between us.
"Come let me show you something." Luna Tenebris said.
We walked to a tree.
"It's just a tree." I say.
"It's life. What do you see on the tree?"
I look at it.
"A few birds and a nest."
"Life. They are life. See the mother that cares for her babies?" Luna Tenebris said.
I nod. I'm still not seeing the point. I look at her. I shrug. It just looks like a mother feeding her chicks that happens often.
"I don't see it." I say.
"Love. If you take life, you take love." Luna Tenebris said licking me.
I push her away. She smiled. An elf walked over.
"Your majesty something has happened. We need you." She said.
Luna Tenebris nodded. She and I both flew to the council meeting.
