I had to kill her. I am so sorry, Mom. I don't have a choice. Tears slid down my face. I could not do it. But it is my purpose.

"Are you alright?" Luna Tenebris asked.

"I need to talk to you." I say.

We walked through the night. It's peaceful here. I had to lead her away from the Dragons.

"Aaravos why are we going to the midnight dessert?"

I didn't answer. I just walked onto the sand. It was day now, so the soul fangs won't come to bite. Once we arrived, I sat down. I clutched my staff. Tears began to slide down my face. Luna Tenebris said that.

"Oh don't cry. What's the matter? This is about Soul Regan, isn't it? Why he hates you, I cannot say." She said.

I stood up. I showed her the cube. The Dark Magic rune was glowing red.

"What does it mean?" She asks.

"You know how the humans have gotten more powerful?" I ask.

"Yes..." She starts.

"I taught them. Soul Regan was right."

She laughed. I did not expect that. She looked at me. Her eyes suddenly burst into anger and tears.

"You did what?! What were you doing?!" She yelled.

"I am giving them a gift." I say.

"But at what cost? Do not go down this path!"

"This path has already been laid out for me."

"If you are truly going to do this, then I must stop you!" She yelled.

"Come and try." I say pointing my staff at her.

I can see the sadness in her eyes. She was certainly sad. I dug my hand into the sand. I pulled out a soul fang. I crushed it with my hands.

"Reh hteaneb elbmurc dnas. bmot ruoy eb lliw dans eht" I chant.

The sand crumbled beneath her. Arms of sand formed and grabbed her wings. I watch as she began to sink. She screamed and struggled. It was taking everything I had to not cry. She reached her claw out at me. She shot a fireball that I couldn't block. It burned my skin, and I was thrown back. The last think I saw was her face looking at me in terror and sadness.
