Part Thirteen!

GOH POV

"Ash!"

I heard his door slam.

I ran up the stairs after him, but the door was locked by the time I got up there. I knocked gently on his door, listening to Delia yell at Red downstairs.

"Ash, Ash please come out."

I heard him sobbing in the room.

I knew he wouldn't open the door.

I went downstairs and quietly asked Mrs. Delia for the key to his door. She tossed it to me without another look, she was too busy yelling at Red, telling him he was a trashy parent to look at me.

I went back upstairs and unlocked the door.

He was curled up on his floor, his sobs tearing at my heart.

I got down on the floor with him, and put my arms around him, his face buried in my chest.

I just held him, and comforted him the best I could.

When Mrs. Delia came back up, she took one look at her broken son and whispered, "I'll be back in thirty or so."

She gently shut the door.

Maybe five minutes later, Ash was starting to quiet down. He wiped his eyes and looked up at me

"Hey, Ash." I said as gently as possible.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered, closing his eyes.

"It's fine- you didn't expect it to happen, did you?"

"Problem was... I did. I just didn't expect for it to affect me this badly."

I rubbed his back, as he wiped his eyes again. He looked back up at me, and he pressed our lips together. (YES KISSES)

We moved apart a second or two later, and Ash cuddled into me. A few minutes later, his breathing was deep and even.

He was asleep.

I tried to move, but Ash has his hands gripping the fabric of my hoodie in fists. I slowly pried it out of his hands, and waited for his mother to come back

It had been about thirty minutes when Ash's mother returned. She saw Ash snuggled into me, and smiled, coming in through the door.

"Is he asleep?"

"Yeah."

"As expected."

I laughed softly.

"I didn't think Red would be so against it- I mean, it's his son."

"Yeah, well... not all parents are as accepting as you are."

"Fair point."

She came over and crouched down, looking down at Ash. "Do you want me to get him off of you? We can wait for him to wake up- I doubt you'd want to carry him all the way back to the lab."

"I doubt I would be able to carry him that far. It's fine, I can call Professor Cerise to come get us."

"Okay."

I pulled out my phone and dialed the number. " Now calling Professor Cerise. Now calling Professor Cerise"

"Hello?"

"Hi, Professor. Ash and I are at his house, but we kinda need someone to pick us up... can you? If not, that's fine we just-"

"Of course I'll come pick you two boys up."
"Oh! Thank you Professor."
