*Turn it Off- Paramore*
"So ya..that's about it," I say after telling him about the dream that I had last night.
Gerard stands in front of the Tv as I sit on the couch sipping my coffee. I look down at the mug that I gave him and see that he finished his. Do I ask if he wants another cup of coffee? I mean I kinda want another.
"Coffee..if you are having another sure," Gerard says looking over toward me.
"AGH! Stop Gerard. The thought thing is still so weird to me and I feel like I have to repeat the word 'wall' every second and it is making me want to run my head through one," I say standing up and snatching his mug that he nicely placed on a coaster. I guess he has some manners.
"Sorry...I will say I am not trying to. It is interesting honestly," Gerard says as I put another K-cup in the machine. I look over at him as I fill the water reservoir.
"How so," I say shutting the sink off and looking up at him.
"Normally thoughts are not as loud as yours are for me. I can shut them off easily if I want to. With vervain it is even easier," Gerard says looking towards me and making me feel even more on display. I sigh and move over towards the Keurig and pour the water in.
"Well..please try harder. It's weird," I say.
"Will do. I can also give you more vervain if you would like. I don't really know what the difference will make, but it's not a drug for humans. You can't OD on it," Gerard says reaching into his pocket. As he does I see his neck move into the sunlight that was showering into the room and I scream out making him look up towards me.
I blink and feel hands clasp onto my shoulders. I look at the green eyes that are looking down at me with concern. As I do I notice veins form under his eyes and they flow downwards toward his cheeks before disappearing. I feel my heart rate quicken, but not from fear.
"What's wrong? Did you hear a voice," Gerard says shaking me slightly. I feel my heartbeat in my chest as Gerard scans the room before looking down towards my eyes and the veins under his eyes continue to pump. He breathes through his mouth and I turn my gaze towards his mouth to see two sharpened teeth poke out of his mouth causing my heartbeat to quicken even more.
Gerard notices and releases his grasp from me as I feel the intensity of my body leave with my body.
"Sorry...just the sun was on your neck..and I didn't want you to," I say turning toward the freshly brewed cup and leaning over to the cupboard to get the sugar for his coffee.
"Burn in flames," Gerard finishes my sentence. I nod slightly fetching a spoon and turning back towards him to hand him the mug.
He was standing the with an intense gaze upon me and as I reach my hand outwards. His face starts slowly going back to normal and my heartbeat starts to slow back down.
"You thought I was gonna die," He says placing a hand over mine as I extend the mug outwards towards him. I feel his fingers wrap around my knuckles and a piece of cold metal grace my skin in between his skin.
"Well yes...don't tell me that is another embarrassing myth," I say with a sigh letting go of the mug and turning to get more water for the Keurig.
Once I turn on the sink I feel a hand placed over my shoulder and I gasp out trying to steady my heartbeat.
"You are not crazy. We are not supposed to be out in the sunlight," Gerard says rubbing my shoulder slightly as my muscles relax into the massage. To say that it is not the most relaxing thing that I have ever felt would be a lie.
