I couldn't sleep for long. Like I said before, I never understood how people could sleep on planes. My eyes fluttered open, replaying the strange dream I had about sitting next to Niall on the plane. I laughed at myself until I realized my head was on somebodies shoulder and another head was resting on mine. I got a bit freaked and jerked my head back.
"W-what?" Niall groaned.
"Ohmygod. It wasn't a dream." I facepalmed myself, blushing as Niall gave me a sleepy smile.
"You look so tired. Go to sleep." I said to him. He murmured something in response and put his head on my shoulder and was snoring lightly within the next second. I sighed and took out my book from my bag. I was re-reading The Perks Of Being A Wallflower for the millionth time. I let out a breath and settled into my book.
I couldn't pay attention though. I could barely believe what was happening. Niall Horan, my ultimate celebrity crush since he arrived at the X-Factor was asleep on my shoulder and moments ago I was asleep on his. I actually have no idea how I could be so lucky.
We were about 7 hours into the flight. I wanted the flight to last forever. I didn't want to say goodbye to this surprisingly down to earth, adorable, sweet boy. I felt like we had almost become friends. Knowing that I would be saying bye to him in four hours and was probably never going to be able to see him again put a strange lump in my throat. I tried coughing it out but it stayed. I took out a bottle of apple juice from the mini fridge next to the seat and drank about half of it. I put it away and tried focusing on my book but it was really difficult with the turbulence shaking the plane. I looked out the window. Was it just me or was the plane actually tilting to the side and dropping altitude? I looked more carefully. No, we were definitely tilting and dropping altitude. My ears starting popping.
"Hello passengers." The pilots voice from the speakers filled the silent plane. "We seem to be having some problems with the engine. As we are passing Colorado, the closest place we can land is Hinsdale County. There is no Airport and its a mostly mountainous region, so the landing may be a bit bumpy. I have turned on the seat-belt sign. Thank you." His voice was strangely happy and polite. I could hear the passengers in economy class create a bit of a fuss. A lot of the passengers in first also started screaming at the air hostesses. I ignored my fear and tried waking up Niall.
"Hey, Nialler." I shook his gentely. He barely even made a peep.
"NIALL!" I yelled at him and he opened his eyes but still didn't move.
"What now?" He grumble.
"We're crash landing." I said to him. His eyes widened and his jerked his head up.
"WHAT?" I could tell he was freaked.
"Engine problems. We're crash landing in some place that doesn't even have an airport. It'll be fine though. Just put your seat-belt on." I said to him. He quickly buckled his seat-belt on as tight as he could. His face was red and he looked really worried. He was looking adorable.
I wanted to slap myself for that comment. You're crash landing in some place you haven't even heard of due to engine problems and all you can think of is how cute Niall Horan is.
