"We're alive." I said, not moving.
"We are?" Nialls questioning response came
"I think so." I lifted my head a little. The landing was brutal. I looked around to see debris on the floor, the lighting was messed up and one passenger across from he had a cut on his head.
"We're alive." Niall said in shock. He looked at and then at our entwined hand. He smirked at me and squeezed it, still refusing to let go. I turned my head to look outside the window to hide my blush. We landed amongst a bunch of trees. Branches and leaves scattered and I saw a piece of the wing steaming in the distance.
"We're alive! Woohoo!" Niall then claimed his hand back, stood up and started clapping. It was a bit awkward so I joined him and soon the entire plane was filled with noises of laughter, clapping and hooting. Even the air-hostesses joined in. Niall and I sat back down after a few minutes.
"Niall?" I looked towards him.
"Yeah?" he looked back, still grinning.
"What are we going to do now?" I ask. His grin wears off into an expression of pure confusion that made me giggle slightly.
"I have no clue." He responded promptly.
"Right." I giggle slightly again.
"We have safely landed. The doors will be opening soon, please make your way out of the plane once they do. Remove all pointed objects and shoes and please bring your carry on bags if they are small enough. Thank you." The annoying pilots voice came from the speaker. It was clouded and mushy and kept breaking.
"Let's go?" Niall looked towards me and I nodded. We grabbed our things and walked towards the door. We were the first in line.
"Miss, please take off your shoes. You too, sir." An air-hostess told us. We sighed and took off our shoes and kept them in our bags. They opened the doors and a big, yellow, inflatable slide was going to be taking us down.
"You've got to be kidding me." I laughed at the sight.
"Woohoo, slide!" Niall says and jumps down. I stare at him in shock as he bounces to the bottom. The air-hostess looks at him worriedly.
"Don't mind him, he's insane." I smile at her.
"You two are a lovely couple." She smiles back. Awkward...
"We're not.." I sigh and let it go. No use explaining plus I'm holding up the line. I follow Niall and jump down the slide. It was exactly like jumping down one of those inflatable slides at an amusement park. I reach the bottom with a thump and a groan. Niall laughs at me and then gives me a hand to help me up.
"Thanks." I take it with a smile. One by one, all the passengers start coming down. It took about an hour, but eventually everyone was down. I looked at the sky, it looked to be about noon. The air-hostesses then started gathering everyone in groups. Obviously, the classicist people that everyone is, it was arranged by the passengers in first class, business and economy. I shake my head at the arrangement and look towards the air-hostess who was supposed to be our 'group leader'.
"There is a town about 3 miles south of the crash site. We have been told to gather there until further help can arrive. Please stick together. Let's go." We followed the airhostess through the trees. She was carrying a map and compass and I prayed to god she wouldn't get us lost.
"So, this is exciting." An Irish voice spoke from behind me.
"Still better than spending time with my dads family for me." I turned around with a giggle. Niall looked at me with a frown.
"What?" I asked him
"Why don't you like them?" He said still frowning a bit.
"Long, depressing story. You don't want to hear it." I said, exhaling deeply.
"We'll be here for a while. Plus you can trust me." He looked at me with a sparkle in his eye. My stomach felt like it has been trampled by elephants. In defeat, I dived into the story of how my parents got divorced and how my dads side of the family doesn't like me very much.
"That's a bit terrible." He finally says once I finished.
"Tell me about it." I shrug.
"I have an idea!" Niall looks at me, suddenly very excited.
"Do I want to know?" I ask warily.
"Come stay with us in LA." He said with the biggest smile on his face.
