H POV:
Even though it is early in the morning, I make my way over to my father's rooms. But I was not able to sleep at all yesterday.
Making decisions was really difficult when it should be easy.
I just had to say yes, and I didn't even had a choice and yet it took me a night to come to a decision.
I knocked on the door.
"Come in." Father said I stepped inside and bowed to him. He nodded "I take it that you have already decided, daughter." He said with a husky voice. "Yes, father." I said quietly. Absolutely no emotions on my face. He raised his eyebrow. " I'll marry Toneri Otsusuki." That's all I said. Father smiled "I knew you would never disappoint me, Hinata. Now get ready they'll be arriving by noon." He said placing his hands on either side of my shoulder.
They are already arriving? That's when I realised this decision was never mine to take. I felt so left out, this feeling...
My heart clenched, and coldness took over my body as I realized this.
He knew I would say yes anyways, he already gave them the answer he was just telling me about my destruction.
I bit my lip and smiled "Yes father." I said and left.
I felt a cold pain in my right hand coming right from my heart.
There was no sound heard but I can feel my heart break loud and clear, for it felt like a thousand times now. This feeling has become so familiar now....
It's okay Hinata, anything for the clan, right? This life isn't your anyways. It was ripped right away from you the moment your mother died.
As I walked down the hallway to the kitchen for some sweets to cool myself down I felt small hands from back hugging me.
"Onee- San" said Hanabi. A smile replaced my cold face. I can't let her know. "Hanabi, good morning." I said. "Good morning." She smiled
Hanabi was the only person who understood me and took everything I shared with her.
She never asked questions, never judged me and supported me every time in any thing. She accepted my weird behaviour, my sudden burst outs and everything. She never let me feel down.
Just like him...
Though my father says Hanabi is better than me. He claims I am innocent, but Hanabi is intelligent, and I do not doubt it.
Hanabi has a way with things she isn't depressed for years like me, she don't cry over things like me and she is better at learning material arts than me too.
But even after that I love my sister and she loves me back without any pride.
After all, who needs a best friend when you have a sister.
By the time we ate breakfast Brother Neji came in. "Good morning, ladies." Neji said with a smile.
Brother Neji is our cousin, my father's twin brother's son. He never really talks much but he understands everything. He helps me with my training and after Hanabi only he knows that I practice magic in secret.
"Hinata-sama, we need to talk." He said.
Yeah.. bout the marriage...
We left Hanabi in the dining hall and moved to the garden.
"What am I hearing Hinata-sama. You agreed?" he said rather impatiently. "Yes, I did "I said looking at my feet. "Did he force you? You don't have to do it, if you don't want to Hinata-sama." He said. "Do I really have a choice, Neji-nee San?" I said looking straight into his eyes. He shook his head "But then what about him. You have lo-" I cut him "No, I don't know what and who you are talking about. I don't love anyone but my Family." I said trying to convince myself. "Who are you lying to Hinata-sama? Both of us perfectly know that you don't want this marriage. It will be nothing but a golden cage for you. That's not where you belong Hinata-sama." His lavender eyes reflected his serious tone. "There's no point of this conversation. I've already given my answer to father.." I said trying my best to handle myself after Neij's previous words. He shook his head "This is wrong. He will not let any of this happen." Neji said looking pissed as if he was fighting something. But then he left.
I stood there looking at the sky. Blue as the ocean. So nostalgic...
