Third person:

The air went in and out of his respiratory system, filtering the oxygen like it always does. The dust particles flew through the emptiness of the room, the little sunlight coming from the only window above his head didn't help the darkness settling inside his chest.

His heart pumped the blood through his veins as its only function but, it doesn't seem to be the only function it performs as usual. It felt like burden.

Breathing. Pumping. Being alive. Everything felt like a burden at the moment.

His eyelids tried their best not to hide his blue orbs from the darkness of this place, but the fatigue won the battle. He hadn't had a nice sleep in that while one day he spent in that hell, if unconsciousness was excluded. Tried his best to stay alive.

But he was exhausted, all his aura was sucked by the chain of rope tied tightly around his wrists. He didn't even got the time to recover from his previous battle with Toneri before he was kidnapped and the rope wasn't doing any mercy on his either. He felt like a corpse, his body was turning pale and he felt weaker and weaker by every passing second. His arms might have turned blue by now given he was hanged there for 24 hours now. He hasn't ate or slept. His belly growled reminding him or his empty stomach.

He was feeling disgusted by himself, of how weak he really was. He couldn't do anything but hang there waiting for help. He couldn't save Hinata from Toneri, he couldn't save himself from Shion. All of his powers were useless. Now, he undertood how Hinata must have felt all this time.

Having powers and making use of them are two different things.

He couldn't think straight anymore, his head was heavy, he couldn't connect to Hinata like before, he was worried sick. He felt his heart turning cold, his body shivered of thinking what might be happening to his Queen. He was horrified, scared.

For the first time in his life he was scared, of what might happen. Because this time it was not about him, it was about her. His world, his love, his other half. The one he wouldn't be able to live without.

Oh Hinata, where are you, my Love.

His eyes burnt by all the overwhelming emotions, his gritted his teeth and tightened his fists. He was furious, Furious at Hinata, for suggesting such a dangerous idea in the first place. but most of all furious at himself for agreeing to such plan.

I'm sorry Hinata, I'm sorry for not being able to save you and your family, I'm sorry for being so weak and useless, I'm sorry for not coming in time when you needed me the most.

I'm sorry for everything, my queen. As he forced his tired eyes close, the water at the bay released without his knowing, the hot droplets making their way down his whiskers, burning his cheeks and his heart.

Just please be safe, Angel.

I love you so much, Hinata. So fucking much that I'll die if anything ever happened to you.

*BOOM*

Naruto immediately averted his eyes to the source of such loud sound, the door flew open with two guards dragging themselves in. They were panting, but that horror in their eyes didn't go unnoticed from the blonde blue eyes.
