The girls were escorted by bus to church for a week. They'd stay in the convent and meet other nuns and get to explore Christianity a bit more. The orphanage was already ran by some of the nuns but, Holy Week was a special week for the girls to go into an actual church and live there for a week to fast and praise the lord. To kind of live the lifestyle like a nun.
1 hour later.
"Hello ladies welcome to saint Ann, I hope everyone's happy to be here as we have some very good news..for you young ladies. We decided this year, you girls will get a chance to sing and preform right here in the church on stage as a choir for the big service."
"Our choir this year couldn't make it so at the very last minute we've come up with this idea. Now I know some of you girls may be nervous but don't worry, you will have a great singing teacher who will help you practice you're song for a few weeks up until the coming event. You will be prepared by the time of the event and everything will go smoothly. You just have to trust and as always have faith in god." The pastor said to the girls.
The girls smiled at each other, chatting about the event. "I'm quite excited to be singing."
"I know right? This is huge! We are going to be in a choir for the church service!"
"I can't wait!!"
Tori was kind of nervous about this. She'd never sing in front of anyone before, this was something big. Could she even do it?
Sister Anna smiled excitedly. This was the big opportunity. The chance sister Anna had been waiting on. The chance to help Tori. Since Tori was such a beautiful singer this was her chance to show case her talent, while praising god. It was perfect, and hopefully Tori would finally find something for her that was exciting and genuine.
Sister Anna pulled the pastor aside to have a chat with him.
"We've recently got an orphan back, things didn't work out with her foster parents like we'd thought..and they sent her back to our orphanage. Things have been really rough for her, I've tried my best to pray for her though. She's a lovely girl and what's more a talented singer, I was thinking we could make her the lead of the choir for this year she would be perfect for it. I was also hoping you could take her into You're choir and this could be something for her. She could live here in the convent with the other nuns and make friends with the choir group..and sing for the church services..what do you think?"
The pastor nodded. "I'd love that. Who's this girl you're talking about? You've never spoke so highly of anyone before, I see you took a liking to her sister Anna."
"Well..yeah of course, she just reminds me of how I use to be when I was once a teenager..I can relate to her and I really want to help her."
"Yes this will really help her." The pastor replied.
"Yes let me introduce you to her. Tori! Come here for a second." Sister Anna called to her.
"Okay." Tori said walking up to sister Anna and the pastor.
"Tori this is the pastor of saint Anns church. He's been like a father to me. When I was young he took me in and helped me become a nun. I was a young novice when I had first stayed here at the convent and learned to praise god like he taught me. I was also thinking he'd be able to help you, like he once did with me." Sister Anna told her.
"Hi I'm Tori." Tori introduced to the pastor. "It's lovely to meet you young lady. I hope you are excited to sing for the church service this month." The pastor said smiling.
"I'm nervous, but..I would love to." Tori said smiling slightly.
Sister Anna smiled. "You'll do great. I know it. You and the rest of the girls will have lots of time to practice before the event." She told Tori.
"Yes I know." Tori said nodding.
"Sister Anna is right. I trust you and the others will do a wonderful job, sister Anna will show you and the rest of the girls to You're rooms I have to be off now I'll see you again young lady." The pastor said shaking her hand and then walking away.
"Well that was..new." Tori told sister Anna.
"I don't know if I would use the word new to describe that. I hope you like it here and I hope you like the pastor he's a really nice man and will really be able to help you, like he once helped me." Sister Anna told her as they walked to the room.
"Yeah he seems cool." Tori replied.
"Okay were here." Sister Anna said as she opened the door going inside the room.
Tori followed her.
