Author's note: Part 24/?? Sean/White doctor story.
Sean was right, the sneakers were too big, but for some reason, White didn't mind. It was harder to walk in them, yet it was better than ruining his favourite slippers. He shuffled to take a look at Yok, who was finally awake.
"Hello, P'Yok. How are you feeling?" He smiled at the patient.
"Like being hit by a truck." Yok grinned, and White had to chuckle too.
"I need to check the wound," White announced, getting in his professional mode.
"Go on, doctor White." Yok laughed, turning over with a slight hiss. White shook his head before he started looking for his medical bag.
"Here." Black put the bag beside him on the bed. White suppressed the urge to smile and nodded at his brother instead. He took the gloves first, putting them on. He glanced at his twin, who was still wandering around nervously.
"P'Black, can you hand me scissors?" He asked, knowing Black would be more than happy to help him. His older brother never showed his emotions on the outside to anyone other than him. It was nice to see Black change a little over the time they couldn't be together, though he was grumpier than White remembered.
The cold metal was handed to him, and he approached the bandage on Yok's back. He carefully cut the gauze and passed the scissors back to Black. The skin around the stitches was flushed and a little swollen, but antibiotics would do their job in no time.
"Tweezers, cotton and disinfection, please," White commanded, reaching his hand for the demanded things while glancing at his brother. Black carefully passed him tweezers and opened the plastic bag with cotton balls for him. White bit his lower lip, suppressing yet another smile creeping on his face while he picked up the ball with tweezers, waiting for his twin to pour disinfection on it.
"Thank you." He appreciated Black's effort. He heard soft grumbling behind him.
"I am going to clean the wounded area. It will sting. Please bear with it." White warned before touching the skin. The process didn't take long, and White was quite satisfied Black took the nurse role.
"Done," White announced.
"The wound looks good.No indication of infection. Stitches are good too. But I still recommend visiting our clinic. I want to take a better look at it." He demanded.
"I will take him there later." Dan appeared out of nowhere, handing over his phone.
"It keeps ringing. You should take it." Dan pointed at the device. White frowned. Only two people had his number, and one of them stood beside him. After unlocking the mobile, Nuch's number popped up. He immediately called back, wondering if there was an emergency in the clinic.
"Finally, White." The head nurse's voice sounded relieved yet urgent.
"Did something happen?" White asked uneasily. He let Black wrap his arms around his shoulders, steady him.
"Some weird man burst into the clinic not long ago, demanding to tell him your address."
White didn't know what to say. His body started to tremble, and a cold sweat formed on his forehead. His breath hitched, and his heart hammered in his chest. There was no way.
"By any chance, could it be your father? He did introduce himself like that."
"Please, tell me you didn't give him my address." White finds himself pleading, tears streaming down his face.
"I kicked him out, don't worry," Nuch said. White thanked her and hung up. Turning around, he hides his face in his brother's chest, crying.
"He found me." White whispered in between the sobs. Black's arms tightened around him.
"I am not letting that fucker get close to you." He growled.
"I don't know what's going on. But you can count on us." Sean joined. The group agreement echoed through the building, and White couldn't help to cry more.
