So out of everyday we have to go dress shoping for midsummers today. Today we were suppost to go do that thing with the water and thing they stole but no! I have to go dress shoping! But at least i'm going with sarah. Once we go to the dress shop and walked around i ended up finding a dress for Ari but not one for me or sarah but we ended but going to four more store and found our dresses. I really liked mine and Ari's and of corse Sarah's once we got done shoping i went home and ended up spending the night at JJ's. Ari was exided that she got to see his house and we talked about it. Y'know IT. Like when we are going to cofirm that JJ is Ari's dad. So that's what we did.
"So lovie we need to have a big girl talk alright?" I say as i sit the little girl down on JJ's bed with JJ right next to me. Ari puts the coloring book down on the bed and tilts her head to the side.
"Yes Mommy?" Ari asks.
"So JJ is a bigger part in your life then you know." I start not really knowing what to say i look over to JJ for help but get nothing out of it he looks consintratied.
"Y'know when you asked me who your daddy was?" I ask her and she shakes her head.
"Well that is JJ, JJ is you dad" I say we sit in silence for about 2 minutes me and JJ stared at Ari not knowing what she would say. She doesn't say anything just walks across the small bed and hugs JJ then plops down on his lap.
"So can i call you dada?" Ari asks tilting her head to the side again. JJ looks like he was about to cry.
"Yeah A you can call me...dada" He says then looks at me.
"If thats okay with you mommy" He says.
"More than you will ever know" I whisper with a smile. "
Yay your my dada! Now i have a Mama and Dada!" She smiles JJ laughs at her.
"Yeah kid you do" He says then kisses her forhead.
I smile thinking back at that moment i think Ari already new that JJ was her dad. Just because the way she acted around him, she was never shy around him like she was with JB and sometimes Pope. But right now i was watching JJ shoot the gun he found at the motel Ari was still asleep but she knew we were down here JJ tried to clean most of the house up before we got here like the beer bottles and neddles but there was still some lying around not many neddles in plain sight though.
"JJ!" Pope yells running up to his house.
"Pope whats up?" I shout over the gun shots.
"Get JJ they know!" He yells.
"JJ maybanks!" I yell.
"Whats up baby?" He ask taking off the headphones leaving them resting on his sholders.
I point to Pope, "They know!" Pope says.
"All right, chill, bro all right? They don't know shit." JJ says walking closer to Pope.
"Topper knows i sunk his boat." Pope says putting his hands on his head. I stand up and walk over to were JJ was standing and stand next to him he wraps his arm around my sholder and kiss the side of my head.
"How do you know they know?" JJ asks.
"Because Rafe and Topper posted outside Heyward's and mad dogged me." Pope says pacing back in forth in frount of me and JJ.
"Will you calm down and get a grip man? They don't know shit" JJ says.
"They have cameras they could've seen me." Pope say.
"There was no power Pope How could they have seen you?" JJ asks.
"They have power it figure 8 love" I mutter in that moment i didn't think anything of the last words that came out of my mouth but JJ sure thought about it.
"They don't give scoler ships to people who sink boat, it's not good on my transcript." Pope said still pacing,
"Enough regret bro!" JJ raising his voice taking his arm from around my sholder and standing up off the logs we we're sitting on.
"They caved you face in! They hit us we hit them it's the law of the jungle. Now if any kooks come up to you and ask if you know anything with it what do you do, you walk up to 'em and look em' right in the eye, and.." JJ say his voice at the same as it was before.
"Deny the living shit out of it" Pope says finishing what JJ was saying.
"That's right deny, deny, deny. You to lor and just for safety we don't go anywhere without protection." JJ says looking down at the gun sitting next to me and make a face at it.
Later that day kie came and picked us up tell us we had to go the movies with her. Yay because my 1 year old has the attintion span for that. JJ was carrying the bag with our stuff in it and Ari was hold both of our hand walking in the middle of me and JJ.
"I'm so glad they're stilld doing this, Keep calm carry on back to OBX life, you know? Aren't you glad i made you guys come?" Kie asks.
"Ecstatic" Pope says scarcasticly.
"My coach was pretty comfy with Ari and Lori i'll be honest." JJ says.
"I was happy with JJ and Ari at home not goin lie." I say.
"We're out of the green zone, man." Pope whispers to JJ. I let go of Ari's hand gentlly to help kie set the blankets and chairs up. JJ, Ari, and I were all going to sit on the blanket and Pope and kie were siting in the chairs. I stoped paying attition to the boys as i help kie. Me and kie went to get some drinks.
"Hey uh can i get two pepsis and two waters please?" Kie asks the guy at the conter.
"Hey Kie, Lori whats up?" Rafe says our names as he walks over to us.
I ignore him and so does kie "How are you girls?" He asks.
"I'm fine" Kie says.
"Good, Good, Um tell your boy that we know what he did." Rafe says and i feel my stomach drop, Oh my ducks they know.
"Sorry what boy are you talking about?" Kie asks.
"Uh he'll know" Rafe says the guy at the conter gives kie our drinks and she starts to walk away but rafe grabs my arm.
"Lor what's going on your not the same person since you've been hanging with the pouges more. Your even letting JJ play dad" Rafe says.
"Rafe JJ is her dad he's not playing dad" I tell him looking over at JJ and Ari play. JJ was tickling her sides and Ari was laughing so hard.
"Yeah but how long until he gets tried of that and goes away? Leave's you and Arial in the rust?" Rafe asks.
"He's not going to leave he wants to be her dad and he would never leave us he promised." I tell him.
"Promises get broken all the time Lor, Just know there is always a place with the kooks for you." Rafe says then walks off to the back where him and the rest of them where standing,
"Oh my ducks" I mutter under my breath then walk back to where my friends were.
"What was that about?" All three of them ask as i sit back down i sat in the middle of JJ's legs as the movie started.
